Is ETA movements still in business with Eterna and if so why a Sellita movement? I am not as knowledgeable as many in this area so can someone give an explanation?
NewbieOGETA is now owned by swatch and Eterna is under threat due to mismanagement which is a real shame as their history and heritage are up there with some of the greats. There are some great YouTube videos to watch if you are interested in their history.
JoysimathOoo that looks fabulous. The finish is quite high. I do not know how legible is on low light as i like to go out quite a bit so i have to read the dial in semi light.
Oterwise il looks fabulous.
Cheers
Glycine doesn't have the same fit and finish, the movement is probably better regulated from Eterna since they are more of a boutique brand/watch maker and are independent. Besides its the double 12, what's the point? IMO the 24 hour dial Airman is the one to get, that's what makes the Airman unique.
WatchyoutalkingaboutEvidently they took half of your advice--this watch doesn't show up anywhere on their website, and specifically not under the Kon-Tiki heading. Guessing it's discontinued first gen they decided to give the boot to.
It's a great watch for the money. Eterna makes a nice watch. I just hate when a watch seller doesn't give full specs, like the case diameter, for instance. Don't make customers have to do homework to find out what you're selling.
