The FIYTA Classics collection looks like it sounds: It has a minimal dial with slim stick markers and slim hands. At 41 millimeters, it's on the smaller side so as not to call too much attention on the wrist. One feature that does call attention is the date window, which is positioned at an angle between 4 and 5 o’clock. What’s more, the movement that powers the watch—a Miyota 8215 21-jewel automatic—is open for viewing on the back of the case. The movement vibrates 21,600 times an hour with a power reserve of 40 hours. A stainless steel case and sapphire crystal protect it.

You could say that space is in FIYTA’s DNA. Since its founding in 1987, the Chinese company has become synonymous with professional space and aeronautics watches—so much so that it actually supplied the pilot behind China’s first manned spaceflight mission, Shenzhou 5, with one of its proven timepieces. Ever since that successful launch in 2003, FIYTA has been providing Chinese astronauts with reliable watches for both ground trainings and spaceflight missions.
