Really like these. The sound seemed flat at first but soon opened up nicely. They are comfortable and do a great job keeping out ambient noise on the train and subway.

Looks like Guitar Center is blowing these out for $199 right now. This has been a very problematic product for them as they keep breaking. They are fragile, but mine are holding up. Good deal.

I’ve had mine for two years and have never had a problem with them. very very happy owner BUT I do handle them very carefully and keep them in a case at home and when not in use.
I would not not feel too comfortable /confident just throwing them in a bag.
Great punchy sound. Can be a bit too bright up too depending on your source or what you listen to. Pretty much agree with innerfidelity’s review on these.
Would buy them again in a hearbeat at the full rrp if I needed to. This is a bargain
BUT I do understand people’s concerns re lack of solid build (just be careful with them) and the ear pads will most likely be too small if you have ears that are on the larger size. I have average (not small) ears and they fit ok

It's a bit disappointing m&f are selling a faulty product instead of a X fixed version collaboration(that would no doubt sell better and leave happy customers) . By the sound of it, the headband issue can be fixed by the vendor. They just haven't elected to do so

beware of ware and cracking over time. These are my second pair. I had my first pair replaced because of the same cracking in the same places.

How does it sound in your opinion? Is it like the Beyer DT770?

riseuplightI have never listen to the Beyer DT770. So I can't reference to that. But in comparison to the HD 650s they sound tinny, small, not much bass or soundstage.

Proxy92Hi Proxy. Focal Professional Products all have a standard 2 year warranty. This is not handled by MassDrop, but rather by the North American Distributor, Audio Plus Services.

Owning and loving these I compared them to what was available in (mostly studio) closed monitoring headphones in the sub 300$ category. I liked them a lot better than MSR7, DT-770, M50x, MT7, SRH840 and some others. I know you have to be careful with the headband so i always have an eye vor that and keep them in a case. The comfort is getting better over time once the earpads brake in. And you have to have a good fit, otherwise they will not sound as good as they can. I use them for "critical" listening of music to know "what does that really sound like". I don't think there is any emphasis in the spectrum, be it lows, mids oder highs, and coming from other headphones they do sound a bit boring sometimes, being as flat as they seem to be. I like them as much as I like my LSR305 speakers or the HS7 that I owned. They are not for everyone, but I really fell in love with mine, because they don't sound larger than life. Give them a go!

Can anyone comment on how these compare to the Nad Viso HP-50 or the PSB headphones?

Here's a FR comparison. The Spirit Pro is overall smoother but they are very, very close. Maybe it's easier to compare to the world's most neutral full size headphone, the HD600.

As you can see they're basically the same, other than the Focals being smoother like I said previous. I'd get these since they're currently the same price.

Does anyone know if the Spirit Professional is larger than the Spirit One S ... and specifically the ear pads? My wife has the One S and its sound signature is nice for casual listening - v-shaped with excellent low-end and sparkle (without sibilance). Unfortunately, the One S is small - almost child size - so on me it's an on-ear headphone with an overly strong clamping force.

AnazI think, but do not know, they are the same. I never read of the ear pad size changing on the classic, one s or pro
