Sad that Glycine is forced by parent company Invicta, to offer this kind of crappy watch. It's probably just a rebrand of a low quality Invicta!

You occasionally see these on eBay, in far more understated colours, for similar money. The GL1005 would be my pick.

J_December_whyNo. The ticking of this quartz watch would give away their position underwater.

One for flying under the radar, and one for standing out in crowd--the only two watches you'll ever need ;- ) And all you guys wringing your hands and crying big crocodile tears about Invicta influence, just quit it! How the hell long do you think Glycine can just keep selling the same old watches? To you old farts--forever. But to the rest of world (and to kids with more disposable income than brains), not forever! If this model was designed by Invicta, I'd say you got off lucky!

Yes; Aragon are good value for money. I have been on their website and looked into them. But generally just too thick for my wrist;I am just average build and size. Either you love big tough watches with huge presence,or are a real diver's watch fan for the Aragon look or maybe just a big guy. Great company I believe based in Florida, and manufactured somewhere in Asia. But yes a lot of watch for the money. Hope you enjoy them; based on what I found on the Invicta site you might just find a bargain there as well; think they have a sale at the moment; come to think of it ; they always seem to have a sale!!!!

this thing reeks of Invicta marketing and design strategies. It’s almost like you’re traveling back in time to the day when they used to sell the product on that shop NBC channel. look at the price tag. 90% off the retail price? What a joke. horrible way to slowly kill a perfectly respectable brand like Glycine. thanks a lot for your bullshit, Invicta. I would gladly buy a seiko or citizen for that kind of money.

Bulova has just benefitted from Citizen becoming their parent company. After all, Citizen is a respected, highly innovative (GPS, Eco-Drive, etc.) watch manufacturer. They make everything from cheap but reliable workhorse watches, to the Chronomaster line, with $3,000 to $10,000 watches in white gold fitted with super-high accuracy quartz movements. Invicta is a manufacturer of cheap, almost disposable watches that are known to be unreliable and of - generally - poor quality, with sub-par components (some of their models are better, vast majority are not anything to be excited about). Glycine will most likely suffer from having Invicta become their parent company, as Invicta will most likely force them to use their cheap components. This is to be expected as Invicta follows a "low cost" strategy as a manufacturer, and to stay profitable they need to achieve manufacturing synergies to keep costs down.

Okay, obviously Invicta (parent) is putting Glycine brand on its ugly designs! sad. It's the beginning of an end of a once coveted flyman watch brand.

beanerds2At the end of the day this a business and business are about making money. Invicta despite its dubious reputation seems to be thriving while other brands are struggling to survive. Spend your hard earned coin on what you like and let the chips fall where they may.
