They are amazing, incredibly well built, heavy and dive me nuts after about 40 minutes. At that point they just sound wrong. However if you only listen to one album at a time they're pretty good. I paid full price for them back in the day, they are beautiful, but the audio world has moved on.
These are really nice sounding IEMs for their price range. These are overpriced on Drop for some reason.
These do not go very deep into your ear, which is unfortunate. They always feel like the IEM is on the verge of falling out (but it hasn't) . I wish the nozzle extended 3-4 more mm into the ear and was slightly more angled. But they do sound very good, especially for bassheads. Good overall sound signature with a slight dip in the midrange at the crossover point between the two drivers. One of the best IEMs under $200 easily.
Edit cause I see these on sale again 6mo later:
I still think these are very good IEMs for the price, quite possibly top 3 of everything on the market for the under $200 category. At least IMO. While the bass is deep and good, I feel the sound profile of the IEM on a whole is just perfect and not lacking really anywhere. Being made of solid metal makes them have less distortion from the shell having no flex from pressure changes, but they are heavy unfortunately because they are metal.
Anyone know if these can be used for talking i.e., with or without a lighting connector on an iPhone or iPad? The connector is tip-ring-sleeve (stereo?) and nothing about a mic in line. Thx.
Can anyone let me in on why the shipping for these is $15??? Was about to order then saw that and cancelled. That's almost $20CDN, ridiculous when most IEM's here are $5 to ship to Canada. Have to pass sadly
