Is the slight fold-out of the corner of the overlapping front piece supposed to be that way? Does it perform some function other than cosmetic? Seems like it would catch on stuff.

ImagineThatIf you read through the description, the image next to "Static Boom" shows that the power button is hidden behind the fold-out.
