It's not terrible; we've all seen worse (on this site). If a guy's in the market for a good seventy-nine dollar, quartz watch, this one should fit the bill. I like the blue dial and the grey dials best, but the gold and parchment combination isn't bad either.
Three important points to clear up since the last time this watch droped:
Miyota claims the OS21 movement in this watch yields a 5-year battery life.
MD's price today is $10 less than last time is was offered.
Don't fall in love with the blue dial and steel bracelet--it's not offered this time.
RayFAgree - Ingersoll overall great value and generally good looks- I might of picked one up for a gift (LOL I have become a Automatic snob) - but getting notifications when they re already sold out or none of the featured styles are available is getting annoying
The truth about Ingersoll is that they're not the worst watches on the planet; they all work and tell time.
Now if that's all you're looking for (and if eighty-nine bucks is all you've got in your pocket), I guarantee you won't be disappointed with this watch.
Unless you happen to be one of the unlucky SOBs who has purchased any Ingersoll watch at MSRP, or even "on sale" at the the kind of sites (especially those of the watch club or shopping channel ilk), but certainly any site frequented by folks who know absolutely nothing about watches and routinely get scalped (bent over the hood, frankly) by carny-barker/pitch persons who, as in the example below, are willing to let you make four payments of $88 vs MD's total price of $89 for the same damn watch.
So, say what you will about the watches or MD (I frequently do), in this case, MD is doing you a solid.
Okay--everyone has to stop complaining about how thick this watch is!Don't think of it as a thick watch--try to think of it instead as a deep-dish Pizza. Surly everyone realizes deep-dish pizza is a better value than thin-crust, right? Obviously then, the same must be true of eighty-nine dollar watches.
By the way, here are few official Ingersoll product shots MD seems to have omitted for some reason:
RayFSorry Ray,I confused you with someone else, don't know how but my apologies, I know how some Texans are proud about their state. I have close friends north of Dallas.

Could it be because:
A) the "maker" charges you $91 more to cover the cost of a warranty it knows you'll probably never use or,
B) MD knows you'll only wear this watch for a month, after which it will spend the rest of its life in your sock drawer?

Strome8Warranty is for the balance of your lifetime after wearing this huge weight on your wrist. The watch will go forever.
sixftsithYes, 19mm is a little odd and can be difficult or limit your replacement choices; probably a reason why it's being discontinued. The replacement auto version has 20mm lug, But even though a large watch maybe the smaller lug width was pointing to it's vintage styling!! I personally wouldn't let it bother my decision.
