You may never have heard of Jenny Watches, but the company’s impact on dive watch history is hard to overstate. Formed in 1963, the family-owned Swiss company actually created the world’s first 1,000-meter water-resistant diver Read More
Got mine a few days ago, love the watch, was much less impressed with the handling of it though. Box was slightly in disarray, one side of my rubber strap was off (curious how this happened) the watch head was just flapping about inside the box, stuck to only one side of the pillow by the strap. The real concern came when I found the warranty card had not been filled out with anything (no model/serial number or warranty purchase date) and was made of thick card stock instead of the usual Doxa/Jenny plastic. Not sure who is to blame Drop or Jenny, Drop was responsible for shipping but the warranty card I would really like to figure out for obvious reasons. I own two Doxas and have seen numerous second hand sales of these Jenny Caribbean watches and they all have a different warranty/authenticity card material and have no idea even if this is considered to be legitimate how to verify my purchase date to Jenny for any would be warranty service.
Wrighthm27Strap was not attached to my watch at all, thankfully the watch was in perfect condition as it could have been scratched by the springbars. My warranty card was not filled out either and I hate silicon so the strap not being attached worked out for me. Wish it had a domed crystal but really enjoying the watch. If Jenny had done a few things differently I think this watch would have been a hit (domed crystal, 1000m water resistant, and a real beads of rice bracelet standard.) All in all it is a very nice watch at the price Drop offered it at. Enjoy yours.
2500M_SubAgree with everything you said, I should clarify my watch was fine as well. I even think the factory strap has a few nice features and have enjoyed wearing it while I wait for a dark green isofrane (silver dial version). Fit and finish are what I expected from the company, no complaints there. I may be odd (don't complain even when my food order is wrong but I am somewhat particular) the box opening took me a day or so to shake off, almost seemed disrespectful, like someone was trying to make a point since we were buying the watches at a discount. Again, love the watch and I always get excited when other people appreciate dive watches as much as I do, even more so when it's Doxa/Jenny (fanboy here).
The quality is top!!!
I bought the orange one when Jenny got re released. It's more of a collector's watch. Hi quality by Docs. Actually Jenny developed Docs.
Cheers
I picked one up direct from Doxa/Synchron about a year back when they offered it on the BOR bracelet for about this same price. The bracelet is branded Doxa with the logo stamped on the clasp. I wish had a rubber strap as well but I'll just grab one from a third party. Nice solid watch and a pretty good buy at this price.
I am a dive watch collector and really didnt need another dive watch but the movement and specs along with the history of the brand I had to order one. I agree that the bracelet would have been nice but I am a rubber strap guy anyway and will trash the strap it comes on when the 22mm tropic strap is released.
BobrazAh, yes! There were no plurals of 'fishstick' left (so he says)...
Anyhew, I like this watch. But it is too much money, for what it is, and I'll put my dollars elsewhere.
