Designed by knifemaker and tattoo artist Joseph Bowen, the Micro Hatchet is a precision-engineered, miniature axe made for neck carry. The Micro Hatchet features a 2.6-inch blade made from PSF27 stainless steel. Its Ulu blade shape lends itself to slicing and aggressive cutting. A finger hole next to the blade’s chisel-ground edge provides positive grip and more control for self-defense and cutting tasks. Its skeletonized handle reduces weight and adds a signature artistic flair that shines through in all of Bowen’s designs.
Note: At checkout, you’ll have the option to add a Black or Brown leather sheath (+ $50). This drop is limited to 15 Micro Hatchets, 3 Black Leather Sheaths, and 1 Brown Leather Sheath. We are working on alternative methods to offer international shipping, but due to our international shipping partner’s regulations on “dangerous items,” this item can only be shipped to US addresses.
One in a large family of craftsmen and commercial fishermen, Joseph Bowen grew up along the Texas Gulf Coast where he soon learned the utility of a good blade. Inspired by tales of his great grandfather, who was a blacksmith, Bowen took an early interest in cutlery. After a chance meeting with Mike Snody, Bowen apprenticed under the legendary knifemaker for several years before starting his own business. A skilled artist in various crafts, Bowen is known for his performance-based knives with purpose-driven designs.
