Born in 1957 in founder Stan Tender’s Los Angeles garage, Kennington has since become a force in the West Coast fashion industry. This is the piece that put the company on the map: a short-sleeve shirt that puts a laid-back spin on the Ivy League look Read More
I love the look of these short sleeve shirts with great patterns. However, as someone mentions below, Nordstrom Rack carries this brand. The only difference is they are all at least $5 dollars cheaper than MD's price and you can get them in a couple days instead of a month.
I've been a long time MD supporter and purchaser. I'm not trying to take business away from MD. However, it's pretty hard to jump on a drop that isn't even in the same universe as a "deal" when other reputable companies offer the same products for less cost and more efficient delivery.
I've been noticing this same trend with many other products passing through MD recently. It's really unfortunate as the whole group drop, price discount business model always excited me. I used to look forward to every morning, seeing what new deals were offered. More and more I'm realizing that the deals are no longer deals. Additionally, many of the products are simply styles/products being discontinued and vendors are trying to offload the remainder of their inventories at reduced prices. Many of the MD-backed collaborations are only slightly below industry retail values but you have to wait upwards of 2 months to receive the product.
Thanks for reply Tomas! Don't get me wrong, I'm a MD fan for life. Some of the value that I saw a year ago seems to be dissipating. I can understand in this market that it's probably increasingly difficult to maintain high margins and still offer reduced pricing to the consumer.
Regardless, I didn't realize these weren't offered extensively elsewhere yet. I will take a 2nd look knowing that now. Thanks again for the response and support.
amdee1979Not only the price is a bit better elsewhere, you can also return/exchange them if the size or fit is not right. Massdrop needs to figure out how to manage size exchanges for clothes and shoes.
I wanted to chime in, and say that I just received my Kennington Sunburst shirt, and the large fits great! I really like the pattern. I am also quite relieved as some manufacturers seem to run quite small in their sizing (Mexx clothing for example), but am I also not a fan of baggy shirts hanging down, these guys have the fit right. Very happy with my purchase, I will likely buy more next time.
Just throwing it out there, but Nordstrom Rack carries Kennington - not all these styles here, but several of them and several others from drops that have been previously here on MassDrop - Here's the link: https://www.nordstromrack.com/brands/Kennington
Tofighi Tofig! Unfortunately this company doesn't produce anything above XXL.
We're always keeping our eyes on brands that have a wider range of sizes and try to include them as much as possible.
So disappointed that it did not fit. i usually wear large shirts but have gained weight and bought an XL here. Too snug on my belly. I know what the problem is but shit I'm disappointed.
If I wear a size medium for short sleeve button downs (Globe, Urban Outfitters, Target) and t-shirts (Supreme, Gildan) will a medium from Kennington fit me?
