Ernest Emerson may be best known for his famous Emerson Wave opening mechanism, but he’s got a sizeable collection of other designs under his belt that are nothing to shake a stick at, either. The CQC-9K is designed for hard use, which you may have guessed by looking at its heavily recurved 3.6-inch drop-point blade. It opens manually with the thumb disk and locks in place with a frame lock. At nearly 9 inches overall, the knife is large enough for big hands, but it’ll feel nice and comfy for most anybody—especially because of its contoured G-10 handle. Machined holes on the other side of the handle allow you to carry it on either side, too.
