BrianCeeAnd the lighter weight fabric + narrower width maybe? The current drop is the of similar weight to the standard length ultralights.

Just got back from a High Country elk hunt. This pad performed well and given its weight and size was a perfect pack in sleeping pad. I'm probably going to have to buy another one as backup overall I am very very pleased with the product.

notahipsterI have to wonder if someone from Newport Wonder, the company selling it on Amazon, is a member here. I say this because when the drop first started the pads were selling for $45 through them and as the price points have been met here the price has dropped concurrently on Amazon. I understand that this is not a great deal but MD is not Amazon and does not have the market pull. However by supporting them on items like these where there is not much margin it allows them to source the better deals like the recent down Jacket for over 1/2 off. It also builds a working relationship to get better deals with a company in the future. To each their own but if you can wait for the item to ship then supporting the site doesn't take much. And if you need the item now you can get it from Amazon.

I'm furious that I am no longer getting the product I ordered in this drop. It's not an 'upgrade' to offer me a larger pad that is 30% heavier and longer than necessary. you took my money and then told me after the fact that you couldn't fulfill your end of the bargain for another month. This is unacceptable. My last three drops have all been nothing but problems. I won't spend another dime on this site.

SunCityJon@SunCityJon - I'm sorry that this issue was not communicated to you well, because I think there could have been a happy resolution for everyone. Klymit ran out of inventory of this and didn't realize until the drop was over. This never happens with them, and they offered the option to upgrade to a different pad at no cost (which some people actually were quite happy about) or a delay in shipping the original pad (with bonus gift), or a full refund. I really am sorry that this happened to you, as this is rare in the Ultralight Community (I can't speak to the other drops that you may have had issues with). Thanks for voicing your thoughts and again, I'm very sorry.

DannyMilksI appreciate the apology but even then email about our options was flawed. It offered the Static V lite. The insulted ultralight pad, which I immediately agreed to, since I need two new pads to go with the rest of the items of ordered on Massdrop. However, after agreeing to that I was informed that the upgrade was for an entirely different pad that I had to lookup on Amazon. Overall I understand a botched sale. Shit happens at my job, people are human. It's just frustrating. Very frustrating.
