Product Description
From KZ, a company that’s made a name for itself with its shockingly inexpensive multiple-driver IEMs, the AS16 represents a push into a higher tier. It features eight balanced-armature drivers in each ear that are arranged in a layout to separately handle low, mid, and high frequencies Read More
DbCoperLooks like it's moulded around the armatures to keep them in place, and to form a chamber for the sound to travel through the nozzle, then the whole piece is placed inside the 2 piece shell.
They are a variation and look almost identical to the CCA C16 except for the color and a small few details. For the CCA C16 that I own, they are really good; obviously not as good as top of the line IEMs (I compare them to JH Roxanne) but the sound is super clear, detailed and with a boost in the upper midrange that will give it a very high sense of PRAT; it took some time to burn in and settle down though. Texture and extended highs are good but not the best and compared to the Roxannes are a bit hollow.
If they have a similar tuning to the CCA C16 I would recommend them; if they have harsh highs like other KZ earphones (like KZ ZS5 that I own); I would tell is up to everyone but not for me.
I remember when KZ was a budget brand, now they released a $100+ model. Their next flagship model will be $150 and feature 10 BA per ear, but the same cheap crappy poorly cut eartips that come with their cheapest models. At least they gave up the memory cable in favor the pre-shaped one like on some new models, thank god!
BTW the impedance must be wrong, `5 ohm?
