Versatile Tube Amp Performance
A refinement of La Figaro’s original 337 model and subsequent 339 headphone amplifiers, the 339i tube amplifier delivers rich audio to any pair of headphones. Its circuit uses first-order direct amplification and a cathode output, which is capable of driving headphones spanning the impedance spectrum from 32 to 600 ohms. The circuit also features a number of components that improve sound quality and increase the amp’s pre-level output, a function requested by many users. Also optimized for audio fidelity are the component layout and the overall chassis design—both of which look (and sound) the part of a high-quality headphone amplifier.
