"Fiberglass compound" - I'm assuming fiberglass-reinforced plastic. (Nothing agin' it if so, but why not say it?)
The case doesn't look too ugly to me, but the crowded and cluttered dial does.
RubinatorI would say if Navy Seals actually did use this watch, not getting the crystal scratched with a sapphire crystal would not be a priority. In their kind of situations, the strength of glass and not getting the crystal shattered would definitely be a priority, hence “cheap” mineral glass.
These are trash. Should you need cutstomer support it is non existent. My luminox broke about 10 days outside the warranty. Lum tubes fell out as well. Price to fix it was more then the watch. Don't fall for the Navy Seal BS.
I have a Stainless Luminox that is 29 years old. The Lume is still visible at night and it is just now needing a cleaning as it stops occasionally witch is a show stopper for me.
Before this stainless model, I had a Fiberglass case model that the lug holes gave way within a year. I do not recommend non-Metal cases for a beater watch.
