I have one set of in ear headphones from 1More, the 4 driver version, that have a cable that is balanced and the terminator is a 3.5mm plug like most of my other headphones. I wasn't aware that 2.5mm was standard now... I'm not seeing it... I needed the 3.5mm version found a very good one here, they also make 4.4mm and 2.5mm versions. About the same price:

BoozemunI have that cable like that but it goes from 4 pin XLR balanced to SE 3.5 mm and it doesn't work on my 789. I guess the way it's wired triggers a safety in the internals and the red led turns on and the amp shuts off. It works fine on my other tube amp tho.

BoozemunI've got this 4pin XLR to 2.5mm. It's incredibly stiff cable though so stresses my 2.5mm jack and cable somewhat if not sat directly in front of my amp.
