Looks for some advice from some HD 6XX Veterans out there. I got mine in about a month ago, and am finally getting a chance to give them a spin. I am using them with a Topping TP30-MARK2 DAC/AMP combo.
I find these headphones to be REALLY quiet, and have considerably less volume than my Shure SE-535 IEM's. Do I require a higher powered AMP to really use these cans to their full potential?

MrCallahanIf you're hooking the Topping up to your PC are you putting the PC volume to 100% first? because even without my amp and DAC I use I can burst my eardrums if I wanted to hooking these up straight to my PC and even my Ipod Classic. Without my amp/DAC on PC 28% is very loud listening to music in with Foobar, and 70% with my Ipod Classic is very loud.

E111Topping is plugged into PC, and volume is at 100%, still super quiet. Same thing when I plug them directly into my PC as well, can have volume at 100%, and it still has super low volume. Same thing when I plug them into my iPhone as well. Potential issues with the headphones?

MrCallahanJust tested with an old Iphone 5 and it's very quiet at max volume, guess my motherboard and Ipod Classic have decent amp boost in them, you probably just need a more powerful amp like a Magni 3 or anything else similar in power.

MrCallahanHave you tried plugging them into a standard home stereo amp? That should give you an idea if you can get them loud enough for your taste without distortion
