had these headphones for about a year now, wondering if anyone had the same experience as me where in the upper mids there is a noticeable buzz or hum as if loose hardware is resonating. Running these headphones off Schiit modius->balanced output to Magnius -> balanced output to edition XX.
ClassicldI had this on low end. Turned out to be a single hair stuck between driver and magnets, be very very careful, just touching the driver's can cause them to rip. I'm surprised the hair vibrating on it didn't rip it
So the head strap on my Edition XX broke pretty light use as well. When I contacted them, they said the head strap is out of stock, and no longer created. Has anyone tried or had any luck installing an alternate head strap on their Edition XX?
Jerrad245I specifically passed on this headphone because of the old headband design which I've had issues with in the past. I couldn't get passed a "new" model using a cheap, bad headband.
I hate intimate sound headphones.
vocal shoutness is something unforgivable thing for me .
in this case would you recommend getting lcd2c or hd800s instead ?
I auditioned Ananda against Edition XX. I think Ananda is a hot mess for my ears. I must have a more laid back treble. Now I'm wondering about HE5XX??? Maybe those would be fantastic.
