Buy, for all the right reasons!
This pad has alot of improvements compared to the normal klymit dou. To start, weight is down from 40.5oz to 25.2. Which is savings of 15.3oz. The second improvement is rubberized bottom. This really does help the sleeping pad stay where it needs to. Next I'm going to talk alittle more about comparing the klymit dou (blue) vs massdrop klymit ul dou (black). The two are notably different. The feel of the pads are night and day. The klymit dou feels alot more grittier than the massdrop counterpart. This could be a pro or a con on your preference on feel and noice. The next notable difference is the size of the pump sack for each pad. This is the area where I preferred the wider and bigger bag from klymit dou (blue). The narrow pump sack for the massdrop klymit ul dou feels tedious. I own the BigAgnes axl and its over sized pump sack and think all pad companies should go to this oversized style. Really makes a big difference. Next, is there difference in height. I feel that the massdrop feels softer which lends to its increased height but also the material compliments the pad in this feature. Overall, I am a big fan of klymit sleeping pads. It must be mentioned that klymits customer service is by far the best part of these products. I've had nothing but good experiences with them unlike some of the other big named companies who dont stand by thier products if they leak.

Cushier than Thermarest; more durable than Big Agnes!!!
I love that this sleeping pad doesn't move around too much in the tent and the waffle inflation makes it very cushy. We aren't sliding off of it either. We have taken it out 4 times now and crossing our fingers that it doesn't get a hole.

Big! Comfortable and warm
Firstly, I love it and it exceeded my expectations so far. I’m not a lightweight hiker. I don’t mind a pack that weighs 25-30lbs. I enjoy a certain quality of leisure when camping these days. I’ll still cover 15-20 miles a day no problem and then lounge around camp for a few hours before sundown. Space is the only real premium. I bought this for just me cus I toss and turn and spread out in warmer weather. This pad will be my casual section hike in 3 seasons when Im doing more camping than hiking. I use a compact sleeping bag rated for 40deg, paired with a packable blanket to drape over my upper half. I typically wear a hoodie in sub 50s. I’ve spent three nights on it in mixed weather from mid 50s down to low 30s. I never once felt cold from below. I would certainly take it out in colder weather and expect to be comfortable. I inflate it firm and never push through when changing positions. Ive woken up to adjust for cold weather and thought “damn, it really is comfy”. It has stayed firm every night!! I am gentle with my valves when opening and closing because I’ve read reviews that these are the spots that fail most often. They seem really durable though. This sleeping pad is big! Ive slept diagonal and rolled around. Only a few times did I manage to reach the edges and hang off a little. Ive had some trouble either losing my pillow off the top edge or my feet draping ever so slightly at the bottom. Theres only about 4” more clearance in my tent length though so Im not looking for longer pads. The stuff/pump sack is ok at compressing it but its still bulky by sheer materials. Not surprising or a knock against it. Just worth noting that it is not one of those small inflatable pads that tucks away in a corner. Its close to 1.5 nalgene bottles of space when packed. The pump sack is good. First one ive used so I don’t have anything to compare it to but its better than blowing it up by mouth. The nonslip feature works and it stays put while laying on it. Just for fun I had my wife take a nap with me in the backyard. We definitely fit if cuddling is your thing but when trying to find some personal space, it wasn’t as nice. We are both large adults. Im 5’10” 200lbs and my wife is 5’7” and 170. Smaller couples will probably think its great. This is my second Klymit V. I also have an uninsulated standard. I like it but its too narrow for me. I really think the the Vluxe insulated will be the sweet spot but this pad will be the one I take when I’m not worried about weight and speed. Especially car camping as I don’t like lugging the large air mattresses or the space they take up.

Exceptional sleeping pad
Just completed two backpacking trips. A short, one night, trial trip followed by a ~40 mile three night trip. By far the best sleeping pad I've ever used backpacking. The first time I've ever been able to side-sleep while backpacking. The fact that this is among the lightest (per person) pads that I've ever used impressed me all the more. The stuff sack inflation system is convenient, intuitive, and easy to use. It did feel somewhat slow; but not horribly so. I used it with a Big Agnes Cabin Creek 15 bag; this combination was fantastic.

serious durability issues
I used this pad for around 10 nights and it developed a significant leak. It no longer stays inflated for more than a few minutes. I only used the pad in a tent, I meticulously removed stones, sticks, etc. where I pitched the tent, and the pad almost never touched the ground. I expect to have to repair sleeping pads eventually, but springing a major leak after only a few nights of use reflects poor product quality.

So far no good. Blew the thing up with ~20 breaths get on it, cool, and walk away for less than two mins and this thing is already limp. See pic of gentle squeeze and rendered lifeless. Totally bummed, been waiting for this and now have to dive into the rubbish chute like a clown. I’ll hold underwater and squeeze to try and isolate areas to patch. Maybe the valves, idk, but what should I do? This blows...

DapinitialIf its deflating that fast, its most likely the valve not shutting tight or a seam blown. Can you verify the deflate is closed tight?

Just big enough but not durable enough
I got this last spring and it worked pretty well through my partner and me through the summer. Gave us a snug fit but was worth it for the packing size and comfort. However on our last camping trip of the year it began to have a slow leak through one of its valves and has since been unusable unless you want to blow it up multiple times a night. Not worth it.

ryanisntcreativeI just sent mine for warranty repair. They were unable to fix it and they can't ship a replacement because they don't keep Massdrop pads in stock. So the "lifetime warranty" doesn't really hold up for the Massdrop pads.

Just got to use it in a two day trip last week. Really loved it for me and my kid. Comfortable, warm, and not too much movement between people. Tried it for a bit with my husband and it’s really narrow. It’s doable and much better than separates, but 2-3 inches would be worth a few ounces. Great addition to the gear at the prices point though!
