Hi,
I just joined a Koss 95X Electrostatic drop. The original from Koss has a battery in the energiser. I would like to know if I can run the Massdrop version on a rechargeable portable power bank ? There are some pretty powerful portable units available in the market these days. What should the battery specs be?
Sujay RaoAny power supply needs to supply at least 1 amp, and only 9 volts. Switching power supplies such as wall warts, linear power supplies or even laptop batteries have all been used by owners of the ESP/95X.
Sujay RaoJust to be clear, the originals do not have a battery "in" the energizer. It's an external battery pack that holds 6 "C" cell batteries. I can get around 3.5-4 hours depending on the batteries and the volume. You can find a 6 c-cell holder on amazon and probably a proper plug as well.
970EVONope. I’m using it with the wall wart and loving it.
When I first booked the Koss I would worry that I was missing something by not having the Atax. I’m sure the Atax is superior in many ways, but this Koss is so clean and sweet that I’ve no plans of cheating on her :-)
