WaffleSCHMXBLUYeah. What he said. It does look hella retro. Like unchanged for 25 years minimum but paint job. Gotta wonder what are the guys at r&d doing.
oldmanboyThey're one of the classic best-buys and have been for 33 years now; no reason to change a great product with a great warranty. Does that make them hipster? I don't really think so; it's not like Koss revived a long-dead design for hipsters; they've just always sold it as it's a great product.
WaffleSCHMXBLUIf you can afford an internet connection to connect to the Massdrop website you can afford better headphones, they probably sound great for their price, but you would have to be ignorant if you don't realise that they are on here because the retro look is trendy for hipsters.
SurgicalThey are on here because they were voted to be on here and are respected as a HP made by KOSS, and because they are liked by the community. So unless you're saying most of the Massdrop community are hipsters (hint; they aren't) than you sir, are wrong.
Have a nice day.
WaffleSCHMXBLUI agree. Porta Pro X are my first pair of porta pros and they sound amazingly good for $35 no matter how they look or who uses them. Worth every penny!

... just.. No, Absolutely not.. lol. This line from Koss is consistently recommended at this price point due to raw sound quality, check head-fi and similar forums, they're highly regarded for their sound quality, a few years back there was a running debate whether they sounded better than the triports @ 5x the price ; general consensus was that they did. Now, that's as much testament to the Triports being audible-crap (but super comfy!)as much as the quality of the Koss, but again, they're great bang-for-your-buck.
