Got these for $49 from sale. They fit really nicely in the ear and passively blocks audio really nice.
Interesting "planamic" idea. The audio sounds really interesting, one of the most interesting IEMs I have from this price range. Fits my ears really nicely for longer durations.
Could recommend for same price.
Cable's finish feels really plasticy and rough/hard, but they seem to have small microphonics in them. Should get 3rd party cable
In terms of balance, the midrange is the loudest, and it specializes in vocals.
There is no stretch in the treble, the sound field is narrow, and it is undeniable that it feels cramped.
The type I personally don't like.
A fun buy, if they are on sale. Be prepared to tweak them!
I have owned my pair for over six months. I have experimented and tinkered with my pair so I have some dot points to share:
They sound great, but you may need to tweak them.
I have used these orignally with the foam tips provided, but, they made my ear canal irritated.
I am fine with foam tips, but I have grown fond of silicon tips recently, so I tried using Spinfit CP240 double
flanged, which worked, Most of the time. If the cable pulled on them ever so slightly,
the sound would become washed out mess. The Fiio Wireless recievers may counter-act this effect, but
in the end I gave up and managed to find Tin HiFi foam tips that give a better fit.
These are better if they are discounted.
Considering that they are currently "out of stock" at the moment on Drop, I am not sure if Drop is planning
to bring these back or not, but, if they are more than $100, they are not worth it. Granted, the Planamic driver
is great at giving you better detail than a single driver, but, now that planar driver IEM's exist that are cheaper
and perform just as good as more expensive models, yeah, these are great, but, not that great. Great for the
"what the heck" buy, but not more than that.
These do sound really good for a single driver.
If you prefer single driver IEM, these do sound really impressive. Cymbals can be harsh sometimes, but the
treble response is really impressive, bass has kick, but won't rattle your eardrums. There is soundstage
with these, it's intimate, but, it is there.
Overall, these were a fun purchase. You get a nice case with these along with a mic cable if you want to plug this into your phone,
