For what you get, 139$ is an insanely good price point. I'm genuinely surprised M&D let them go for this low, perhaps COVID-19 affects? Edit: These do not ship internationally?

adi518Although this is a good price, why is Drop advertising that they list for $400 when M&D's own webpage lists them for $249? https://www.masterdynamic.com/products/mh40-over-ear-headphones

Zemo33It was previously 400$, but that was a long time ago. Drop should fix that.

adi518Would you get these or the SENNHEISER HD 58X JUBILEE for PC use?

sterlinggrayFor PC use I'd get open-back cans, these are closed. I didn't try the HD58X, so no idea how they compare. M&D are not monitor though, they are colored. I enjoy both these and the HD6XX. The MH40 don't need an amp to drive them, so they'll sound great even with your phone. I'm almost near certain MH40 will have heavier bass than HD58X.

FashiYes, unfortunately, it's a M&D distribution policy.

adi518Alright thanks. I think I'm gonna go for the 58X since people are saying you can run them without an amp and they sound pretty good. I wanted to get the 6XX's but I don't really want to invest another $200-300 bones for a DAC and AMP.

sterlinggraySounds good. HD6XX will be a complete waste of time without the right equipment.

Zemo33They have been 199.00 for some time now, and regularly go on sale for 149.00, which is what I paid on the site back in February, when I bought my second set. I did actually pay 349.00 for my first set, about two years ago, now. But they were still new, and only came in 2 color styles. I fell in love with them, right away! Even at ~350. Now, they are a steal, considering the quality, ect.

adi518it's because they are discontinued and no longer sell accessories or replacement ear pads for them.
