Product Description
It’s called “Pinnacle” for a reason: The result of two years of development, this is Mee audio’s flagship IEM, celebrated for its exceptionally clear, engaging sound and built-to-last construction. The housings are made of impact-resistant zinc alloy with a stainless steel nozzle, and their nicely rounded shape promises comfortable listening, hour after hour Read More
Awful weak sounding IEM's. My current reference are Earsonics Velvet V2, however, even the Vsonic VS series, Fidue A73 walk all over these in every sound aspect. Save your money, head over to Penon Audio or Lend Me Ur Ears and purchase something else.
Everything other than the power hungry comment, I agree with. The fact is, when I plug these in to a shitty source they still sound great. I can't say that about my other 'power hungry' cans.
Agreed, the impedance is high for iem and more importantly the sensitivity is really low at 93db. These need power.
It's almost odd, these kinds of numbers from a tiny iem.
These were one of my first forays into 'audiophile' earphones and to this day i still use them as go-to iems. In fact last month I misplaced them and seriously considered buying a new set, despite all the the incredible new options that have emerged since their release. They are such great all-rounders and provide the best comfort and seal of essentially all earphones I've owned--i regularly sleep in them. They have Very clean, nimble bass. Smooth mids. And an incredibly lively high end. They are weirdly difficult to drive however. I can achieve higher volume from most of my full size over-ear headphones when using my phone, or plugging them in to my PS4 controller--which is essentially a BT dac/amp.
Anyway, i thought i'd leave my thoughts here as I'm unable to leave a proper review on drop.
rashomonI haven't had a problem driving them with my phone (Samsung Galaxy S7 Exynos) but I get that all phones are not the same. One of the big hits for me is the form factor. That small zinc housing is amazing for subtle fitment.
I do feel your dilemma, if I misplaced mine I'd have to think hard about something else to replacement given all the positive points these IEMs have (except the cables, I'm sorry I tried). At this price point that makes the decision either easier or harder.
rashomonNice write up on thoughts. I feel the same way. Super smooth listening experience that makes it easy to grab them for everyday use.
I bought mine years ago via drop when they had the painted coating which often flaked off. I’m happy to say that I have not had any issues with mine but always put them back in the leatherette case that came with them.
only downside is that they are power hungry. I bought them to be my portable companion to my fiio x7 mk ii DAP but I really have to crank them on high gain to get the most out of them. Not sure how folks are driving these on phones rofl.

its getting boring man the same stuff keeps coming back like a rotation. my grandson will probably see this again so yea dw grandpa has left one for you son.
At this price point, I would recommend anyone to buy this in a heartbeat. I got it since March (serial no 625) and they're super detailed and both the housing and the cable are excellent. Even the packaging is premium.
Bassheads might not like it so much since it doesn't rock your head, but the bass are there and very clean and still have the impact.
ludwigtheholybladeA lot of people suggest getting an amp, but I don't think you need one. I'm using it straight out of my laptop and iphone. Volume wise, for normal consumer IEM, I use 3-4 bars in the iphone, but I need to go to 8 bars for the P1. Getting an amp would probably improve the quality, however, I'd suggest you get the IEM first then decides if you want the amp at a later time.
Does anyone know the size of the driver? I have a very small ear canal.
iBasso T01 does not fit for me. I would guess I need the width to be around 5mm (= 0.2 inch).
ChienRougeI have both. The size of the driver is not the main factor. It's the size of the housing that matters. The P1 is certainly smaller and fits better in my rather small ears. But you might go for something truly small. Check out Rose Mini mk2. The Hifiman re 400 and re 600 are also quite small.
ChienRougeI find them as comfortable as the shure se iems, mayoebven better, and considering that you can wear them upside down they’re hard to beat regarding comfort
Great deal imo. Bought this pair at $200 couple years ago and still not regretting the purchase. Just a little reminder that the P1 needs a proper amp to drive them and the bass can be lacking for people who loves bass a lot.
VitaJohnnyI purchased the PX, but also have MEE’s Planamic, M6 Pro, and M6 Sport. All of them are EXCELLENT with the exception of the Sport which is just “above average!” That’s understandable considering the Sport is going for toughness. The PX and Planamic are actually two of my favorites that I use all the time! I actually wanted the upgraded silver cable, but to get all this for double the price is a steal!
SynxxI agree the cables are poor, and I think the one without inline controls was better than the one with in terms of kinking up?
A pair of headphones shouldn't be judged on their cables though, unless they are not detachable, as you can pick up so many different kinds out there of varying quality and options.
