Just checking in... it's been a while.
This summer my wife and I saw our 24 year old autistic son transition into an adult residential group home where I'm very happy to say he is thriving. He is making new friends and getting out into the community, things he refused to do while living at home. We are so pleased to be able to see his progress. I have been working on kind of a project this past month. I am converting my son's tiny bedroom into my tiny music room/office and it's been a pretty big undertaking. I've had to rebuild the walls and paint them. I had to buy new curtains and clean a carpet. I put up a ceiling fan and built a table for my headphones. I hauled my six foot desk into the room from the living room and purchased a new desk chair and soon I will finally get my desktop audio system wired up. I have to mount a TV on the wall yet, get some crap out of the room, get it vacuumed. Oh, and I have a partial power outage. Drop BMR1 speakers + Schiit Modi 3E DAC
Hello! Was wondering if anyone would help me troubleshoot something. I recently got the BMR1 nearfield desktop speakers, got them all plugged in and everything. Bluetooth mode works great, but I try to plug them into my Schiit Mode 3E I can't get any sound through them from my pc (even when I switch outputs on the DAC itself). My headphones (which are connected to my Schiit Magni 3. Am I simply misunderstanding where and how I should be plugging these in? thanks!

PC38X Microphone not working
I got the headphones yesterday, the microphone worked at first just after i plugged it in, after a short period of time (probably 10 minutes) it suddenly stopped working, i tried absolutely everything i've seen online, the headphones work perfectly fine but the microphone only produces static, i plugged it in the front and back again, i physically moved the mic up and down to mute and unmute, i reinstalled all my audio drivers, replugged everything, checked all the windows options related to microphone privacy were correct, tried both cables and none of this works. Is there anything i can do?

Safety Concern with No Power Button on Drop BMR1 Nearfields
I recently received the new speakers from Drop and must say that they have an amazing sound, but there is a massive safety concern that I can see with this product. I do not like having my devices powered on at all times in an effort to save on electricity and reduce fire hazards. Since this new product does not have a power button I must unplug it once I shut everything down to make sure it does not draw power. In order to turn the speakers back on, I must re-plug them with a glaring issue: ******** There are sparks whenever I re-plug the power to the speakers ******** These sit on my desk now which means there is a possibility of paper (from homework, mail, etc.) near these speakers. Needless to say I do not want sparks being created near an area where flammable items such as paper may be. It boggles my mind why drop engineers decided to omit the functionality of a power button when there is a button on the device. The most the button does is rest the device, which could be...

Creative BlasterX H7 Replacement Headband
Does anyone know where I could get a [third party] replacement headband for the Creative Labs BlasterX H7 (same specs as the H5) gaming headphones? It doesn’t seem like an OEM replacement is even available. I have a few other pairs just for gaming, but I would really like to keep these usable for the foreseeable future.

- If Drop offers a direct discount, it'll undercut the dealer network & cause an uproar. (Anyone remember the Quad ERA-1 controversy?)
- The only way an authorized dealer can advertise a lower price is if it's authorized by the manufacturer so that their entire network has the same price.
What does all of this mean? It means that Drop either bought inventory from an AD or arranged to act as a conduit to push a product that's not moving through the normal means. They have to offer the product at MSRP & only have the means to offer what effectively is a 10% discount through rewards points. Of course you could always call or walk into an AD & negotiate a better deal. It is what it is.......
