I got one of these on the last drop. Sound is good but the mic don't catch my voice all the time... Its super frustrating to yell "Ok Google" 3 or 4 times to turn on the light. Any tips or did i got a lemon?
Will there be a way to have these used in a stereo system? Like the Sonys? I know the sonys aren't smarty speakers, so I'm just asking for some info...
albocajI have two of these and currently they cannot be set up as a stereo pair like the Google Home Max or the Best Buy Insignia Voice Speakers. I wish Onkyo would release an update to allow stereo pairing, that would make them so much better. I can say that the audio is very rich, clean, and crisp. In addition to these I have the original Google Home, a set of Sony LF-S50G smart speakers and a couple Google Home Minis, and I've tried the Insignia voice speakers. The Onkyo is by far the best sounding out of the Google Assistant speakers I own.
pxtangIt is not bad...for the price point. The high frequencies are very directional. It would definitely benefit from an eq option, but I don't think it is a deal breaker, YMMV. For its size, bluetooth, capability, google assistant, speaker volume , and price it works for me. Keep in mind that it is replacing a home mini, and the speaker on that thing is not up to snuff.
I suspect something happened. Because I haven't seen many drops get canceled. I think there was a price mix up because there is no way they could afford to sell this at $80 when market value is $200 and the last drop was $100. Something definitely got mixed up I think.
