There's no point convincing someone who can't hear a difference between different cables. For them, it's saving money and I have no problem with that.
For anyone who's "attempted" to build a decent headphone/IEM cable, go checkout what kind of raw materials/wires you can get for $40? Let alone selling one for $40.
To a lot of people, headphone cables are just "cheap" metal wires and they have no idea these raw wires have "costs" too. Again, for people who can't hear the difference, more power to you, save your money and spend it on something else.
ayang02The chinese cables will be like 8 braids but each braid is very very thin to save costs .... and im pretty sure they arent properly tuned or anything .... paying a premium price for all these brands not just for materials but also the effort in proper tuning.
Wowza, the sheer idiocy of the people in this discussion are absolutely mind blowing IMO! If you don't want to buy these extremely nice cables, THEN DON'T!!! But don't talk about others who really enjoy them!!! Yes, they're expensive, but you get what you pay for and these are made in the good ole USA 😎👍
I've been Recording with high end audio gear for the last 20+ years and always thought that "upgrade cables" we're snake oil. That is until I upgraded my analog mic XLR cables. Fast forward to about a year ago when I got really serious about my IEM's and portable listening setup, and I can EASILY hear the difference between the stock Westone EPIC and Campfire Audio Stock Litz MMCX Cables that came with my Westone UM Pro 30's and CA Andromeda and Dorado IEM's, vs. my aftermarket Linum G2 SuperBax and Bax Single Ended MMCX Cables and my new FiiO LC 2.5c 2.5mm Balanced Cable.
So don't knock on someone else (like myself) who has the HQ gear to actually hear a difference between IEM cables, just because you don't and can't! Plus it's pretty much IMPOSSIBLE to say if someone else CAN hear a difference even though you can't or haven't even tried a nicer aftermarket/"upgrade" cable!!!
£120 for a cable!
What a complete waste of money.
You could run your signal through an extruded railroad spike and never hear the difference.
This is a joke right?
Looks like they can't do anything about it right now. I would have to trust you guys to make these decisions :)
Hope my third X8 cable will look as great as my previous ones!
um There are a few MMCX type options to choose Any idea which one would work or best suited for Beyerdynamic Xelento?
I have no idea how they Look like, Some Photo of those different MMCX would be great!
It's been mentioned, but there is no option to choose the connector colors or the Y split. Which is a shame because this is a pretty good deal, as I had already been planning on purchasing a X8 Silver+Gold. Is there a way we can have our preferences accommodated, perhaps by email if necessary?
