Rado’s roots stretch back more than 100 years in the Swiss watchmaking trade. Here, we’re offering a handful of models from the brand’s Diamaster collection Read More
I continue to be amused by comments regarding this watch: the price is too high for the movement, the movement is good, the movement at this price is a good value, the bracelet is ceramic; the watch does or doesn't come with boxes and papers, yada-yada, ad nauseam!
Why is no one addressing the elephant in the room?
It's ugly! It's unremarkable, uninspiring, boring, looks like dozens of watches your could buy for half the price (and dozens more for twice the price)!
We've reached a point human existence where pretty much ALL watches can tell time reasonably well, and one could even argue, a point where watches aren't truly necessary! So if one is still willing to buck those trends in pursuit of their hobby or passion (and cough up nearly a grand in the process), for gods sake, MAKE IT COUNT!!!
I don't know about you, but I'd much rather wear a watch that speaks to me (interests me visually, makes me smile each time I look down at it), with even an average-grade movement, than a snooze-inducing watch with an exceptional movement.
I admit that if you picked a girlfriend or wife solely on good looks, you certainly might end up disappointed down the line--but not with a watch--a good looking watch will still be a looker years from now! Where as this watch will still look like a ticking version of those sweaters your grandmother used to get you for Christmas!
Seems a bit steep for what it is. You can get a nice auto chrono for this range that has an ETA 7750. I’ve seen the D-Star chrono on Jomashop for around this same price.
MikeomaticWell... If you buy from Jomashop you might wind up with a counterfeit watch. Even if you don't there's no warranty. Sao I don't think I'd use that as an example.
On top of that this watch is ceramic, which is pretty expensive.
Drop has been pretty lousy lately, but this is a good deal if you ask me.
BenTWPDear BenTWP, would you be so kind as to explain me what you mean with " If you buy from Jomashop you might wind up with a counterfeit watch"? Thanks
Rado is on sale all over the place right now. Ashford had multiple store display black and silver Hyperchromes with ceramic and stainless links, for 375 after using the PONOV25 promo! K-K-Crazy!
