Been loving using this amp daily for a month now and the app is great!
However, I can’t figure out how to apply a low shelf eq or change the frequency bands or the peaks to something more specific.
for example my options are 31, 62, 125, 250, 500, 1K, 2K, 4K, 8K, 16K. But, I want to adjust specifically 1.5K and 3.5K. And, I want to be able to do it in a more narrow Q factor than 0.7 or 1.4 which are the only options.
if this amp can’t do that complex, what other Bluetooth amp/Dac would??
CyberRadyAll my USB DACs have the same issue. I am suspecting motherboard / Windows but I have no clue. It is also not always there so I am not sure how to diagnose this.
Can't get it to maintain a Bluetooth connection to any device I tried. My Android phone, my mum's phone, our laptop nothing stays connected for any length of time. After a few months of use it just started acting up, now it sits on my desk. Wasted money I suppose.
JudahlichI had the same problem on my nearly 1 year old se100, turn out it is the bluetooth chip come loose on the pcb. Now I am looking for someone with a hot air gun to fix it.
How does it fair compared to BTR3? I own a BTR3 Bluetooth amp but im not satisfied with its performance (I listen to Spotify & Apple Music)..
Would this Radsone es100 be an upgrade to BTR3??
Suggestions are welcome.. thanks
Vijay_MathewsI consider ES100 better but hardly to say it is a upgrade when comparing to BTR3. Sound-wise ES100 is better in minor ways, unless you get it for very cheap or free, I don't think it worth the trouble and money upgrade. However ES100 and BTR3 has different features, like BTR3 is more sturdy, and has light to tell more status; while ES100 provides balanced output and lighter weighted. If any of the features is important to you, then it probably worth it.
ccl13Thanks for the reply.. I bought Shanling UP4 recently and it makes BTR3 almost worthless in comparison with it.. the sound and amplification that it provides is amazing even when using it with online streaming services like Spotify..
Audio quality is excellent. Using it on a phone via Bluetooth, it powers a Beyerdynamic DT 880 250 ohm well.
However, as a computer DAC/amp, it doesn't have enough power (for a powerful sound).
Is there a way to fix that, or is the device battery always off when connected by USB?
In daily use of this device I have found a small super-annoying design choice: when attaching micro-usb charge cable, the unit powers on. When disconnecting the cable, the unit powers off. Which is idiotic. Here's what happens:
The unit is powered off and is low on battery, so I connect it to a chager. Units powers on and pairs with my phone even though I'm not using the unit. Phone rings - and I wonder why I hear nuthin'. Then I realize my call goes to the Radsone which obviously I'm no using since it's plugged in for charging.
I'm on a long Teams call and Radsone gets low on battery, so I connect it to a usb cable to get juice. All good so far. A bit later Radsone has battery so I disconnect the charge cable...which powers the unit off and throws me out of the online meeting.
This is idiotic - what were they thinking? A&K XB10 got this one right... hope Radsone fixes this one.
hiilariHey, you can turn that off using the EarStudio companion app on your phone.
After connecting the ES 100 to your phone, on the main page, tap on the 'battery' bar. Under the 'charger mode', select 'auto power off' option.
I hope this helps.
garchesYep, that's perfectly normal. If you don't like the blinking, you can switch it off via the EarStudio app on your phone.
In the app, tap on the Radsone icon on the top left corner of the screen, look for 'misc control', and it should be under the 'LED option'.
I got mine for little more than a week now. It's amazing. Sounds great, battery is good and the app is amazing! Pairs perfectly with my se846's. No perceivable floor noise when properly set up, sounds better than my OP7 Pro when using usb type C to 3.5mm adapter. The only thing that would make perfect is if it had USB type C port.
I have one and love it. I use it as a USB dac on my desk, connected to a schiit magni 2 amp, and on the go to drive my iems. Yes, sound quality is better than directly from my phone or MacBook. And the mic means that I can answer calls. This is a great, great device.
