New from Sabbat, the E12 Ultra TWS Bluetooth 5.0 IEM is an excellent wireless companion with versatile performance features. An upgrade from the E12, the E12 Ultra features a Qualcomm chip with Bluetooth 5.0 and added APTX decoding, all of which improve audio quality Read More
Not sure what the consensus is on bluetooth.... but is it still not worth piping bluetooth headsets through a DAC? I'm not sure what kind of audio quality bluetooth maxes out at and what the limits are for the on board phone dacs (google pixels). Also weather or not there's a quality difference between 5.0 and 4.2
HispanicPanicLDAC is an audio coding technology developed by Sony, which allows streaming audio over Bluetooth connections up to 990 kbit/s at 24 bit/96 kHz. It's about as close to a wired connection you're going to get with today's technology and it sounds fantastic when using good source files (flac, alac, etc). Huawei has a new codec called LDHC / HWA which transmits even higher bit rates but it's not widely adopted and is still a bit unstable. AAC can transmit 1:1 but only if the source file is encoded AAC, so yes it can POTENTIALLY save some battery life but if the source file is not AAC, it too needs to convert. To date there are no wireless earbuds that have aptxHD or LDAC that I can find because those codecs consume more battery and the Buds by their nature have small batteries - so those codecs are not included so as to ensure decent playback time. The compromise of course is SQ. I finally got my self a Shanling UP2 BT DAC and a short 43 cm FiiO cable and now I use my favorite IEMS both wired and wireless. I also ride a motorcycle and both my oBravo Cupids and Shure SE535s fit under my helmet without issue and I clip the BT receiver to my collar. The short Cable doesn't get in the way of anything which is important both out and about and certainly on a motorcycle. The battery life is about 10 hours (way above wireless iems) and the fidelity is incredible (like wired). I wouldn't buy any of the current crop of wireless Buds.... Not to mention the fact that none of that BT microwave energy is being transmitted to my skull. And the BT DAC doubles as a USB DAC and a remote receiver. It's a far more sound worthy, economical and is a far more practical solution than single use iems or cables.
I also abhor apple product and you couldnt pay me to even touch one. We purged our home of them 10 years ago after the the 3rd iPhone got bricked when a new firmware came out (just a coincidence of course as a new phone was beig released) Scum bags
Armored_SoulIt was setup as 30% off with that code, and then the click able 10% off to make them $30. I posted it on slickdeals, it got deleted because they don't have 50 reviews yet. Then posted it in other threads. Then I got banned because mods are aholes.
Bought these elsewhere after eyeing the drop
...
Pretty much what the reviews here say
https://audiofool.reviews/2019/10/02/sabbat-e12-ultra/https://www.rtings.com/headphones/reviews/sabbat/e12-true-wireless
Too much sub and mid bass and hugely bleeding into mids. Neither mids nor treble are amazing by any means before or after eqing
Re case, while usb c,the manual says max current is 750mah and using a qc fast charger may damage the case.
Case itself is plastic, so while it looks shiny- I wouldn't go dropping it ..(Also polished plastic is a fingerprint magnet)
Wireless range is less than es100 or pamu slide
I'd say half to a 2 3rds
Why do they keep pushing this non-deal of a price? Again, the point of this site becomes meaningless when they only provide prices that are similar to other areas of the web. Gets old.
Under $50 here, and can ship now, albeit similar slow shipping as here.

crogsMy personal point of buy things from Massdrop is the wait.
The fact that I have to wait two to three months for a purchase to arrive saved me a lot of money (And I mean a LOT) from my impulsive buying behaviour. But that's probably just me.
Rare to see a tws with BT5, USB-C, and APTX... But my experience with everything Bluetooth audio especially over tws earbuds is that they tend to sound like shit like the airpods. I know massdrop tends to make good calls on things but is this really any good?
According to one regular poster on Head-Fi, the MEGIVEZ sounds bad. They didn't try the real Wavefun/YTOM yet but it is possible these only share the same shell, especially considering there were much more positive impressions of those on the forum.
I'm currently using Jabees Firefly Pro as my daily driver. Really enjoy them overall - USB-C (only via Type A though), Qi charging, ambient sound for 80$ USD. My main complaints are call quality and the ambient sound cutting in direct sunlight (not sure why this happens!). They also have some distortion issues with SBC unless absolute volume is turned off on the source device (which is cumbersome on Windows 10). Their midbass is quite emphasized so they're not good for critical listening, but do well for casual listening. They're releasing a Firefly.2 later this month which is said to sound better and also have IPX7 waterproofing.
KattoJesuSurprisingly good for a wireless. I only use them at the gym. As many have already said, they're not for analytical listening but they're wide, thumping and in your face.
Treez81Are you an apologist for this site? At one point in time they actually had worthwhile deals. That's when I signed up and actually bought things off of it. It's been a long while.
Happy? Why do you feel thr need to defend it? Go spend more if you like and buy off of here on top of sitting and waiting for things to ship and then wait forever for it to arrive.
At least before you accepted the deal because you were getting a deal. Now you pay more Nd wait forever when other places offer things for less without making you wait for the so called deal to be over.
I received a set of TRN T200 TWS IEMs yesterday from Linsoul. Priced at about the same as the Sabbat E12 ultras, the T200s have dual drivers, one 10 mm dynamic and one balanced armature. To my ears, the sound of the T200s is not appreciatively better than the E12s, which surprised me. Both iems sound awesome, have very good soundstage. I'm sending the T200s back and sticking with Sabbat. The E12s fit much more flush with my ears, and weigh in at 4.1 grams, where the T200s stick out a bit further and weight 5.6 grams. Both sets pair easily and quickly, both have Bluetooth 5.0 and aptx. T200s have touch sensitive control while the E12s have a mechanical button which is fairly sensitive (so you don't feel like you're pounding on your ear when you want to change volume, pause, etc.). I mentioned early I've also checked out the Whizzer B6 TWS IEMs (cloned by several companies), another iem that is aptx compatible. Waaay too bass heavy and poor on midrange and upper treble... I returned those quick!
