Cdoyle Edit I think it was on my end actually I ended up joining the drop here. Pretty excited about this drop as it'll be my first titanium watch and first sapphire crystal as well as my first Seiko.
Great watch, especially for the price. One of my most complimented. Only issue is that it’s hard to go from this watch back to a heavy stainless steel band.
There are two dial colors, very dark gray and blue, but only the gray (looks black in pictures) is offered here.
It's 38mm. I love it for work because it's small, tough and stays out of the way.
sparis145149Thanks for confirming. While i dont mind 38mm cases Drop needs to get it together as 40 vs 38mm is a big enough size difference to change someone's purchasing decision. A little disappointing its not 40mm as thats the sweet spot for me but I probably woulda joined regardless as its still a sweet watch!
Beside the fake msrp price, this watch is the best one for the buck period. I'm wearing mine 5 years already (got it from "mass"drop back then) and the crystal still shines like new, this year after I had cleaned it I got asked if got a new watch, never take it off. The only reason I'm commenting on this forgotten site is because I truly love it
Mine showed up today; I'm in Canada (AB), had to pay $17.41 tax when it got here, took about three weeks between shipping email and arrival.
So far, I like it -- I'd forgotten how to adjust Seiko straps but once I remembered to look for the arrows it was all easy enough. It's very light, which I like a lot, and I found it looks 'sleeker' in person than I'd expected, the angles of the case blend into the face somehow, and it looks thinner than it actually is, I think?
Size-wise I think it's about the perfect size for me -- I don't have big wrists, so the fact that this isn't super large works really well for everyday wearing where I want to not notice it all the time. I don't know which dimensions are which, so here's a photo of it and a photo of my wrist with one of the Seiko SNZH's that massdrop did a while ago, for the sake of comparison:
100% correct I thought for a second maybe it could have done with a little bit less text on the dial until I looked at my wrist and saw the paragraph on mine and quickly deemed the Seiko perfect
Premium materials from a well-established brand in a good size. Attractive watch and course is great for every day wearing, accuracy and ease of use. Not expensive either so this is Very tempting!
Couple of point:
A) Two of the sites I checked for pricing this morning list the case size as 38mm, NOT 40mm. @sparis145149 owns the watch and agrees. As MD is not well-known for their spec accuracy, I'd tend to go with the other sources.
B) MD's price is not the lowest today; with a $10 off coupon, Jomashop meets MD's price and ships faster. Walmart's site lists the price at $114.90 and offers 2-day delivery.
To be clear, Walmart doesn't stock this watch, (nor the pre-owned Rolex's they list), they are simply posting affiliate listings--which is to say, buying a watch from Walmart, doesn't make it a damn Walmart watch!

I think the main feature for this one is the Titanium case and bracelet--the sapphire is just icing on the cake. Titanium is much lighter than a steel version would be, but it's not impervious to scratches. Either way, it's hard to go wrong with a Seiko.
