Product Description
Featuring a single 15-millimeter dynamic driver and two Knowles balanced armatures, the XBA-6in1 IEMs are a great upgrade over the previous 4in1 model. They’re designed to be worn with the cable straight down (rather than around the ear) and have standard MMCX connectors for easy cable replacement Read More
I have a sneaking suspicion that this drop might run into problems... I just checked these out on Ali and it seems that they are not available anymore with any of the major vendors. I hope Massdrop secured enough units ahead of time.
Nplateau77Well, apperently, oh what was it..... " Due to an unexpected delay, these orders may ship later than the original estimated ship date. Our apologies for any inconvenience. If we find that the drop is going to be delayed by more than 30 days, we will let you know. " Um.... Yeah..... At least "If you would prefer to cancel your order, please contact Community Support using the “Contact Support” button on your transactions page and our Community Support Team will be able to help cancel your order up until it is ready for shipment. " right? That is, if they would ever actually respond when you use that method of contact.
i love that mass drop is just searching audio budget.com and picking the best iems for these low-fi drops. most of these are harder to come by and i dont mind the wait if i dont have to deal with aliexpress. Thanks
salander1800I agree, I would buy from massdrop instead of AliExpress anyday even if it's little bit expensive here.
P.S Two orders of mine from AliExpress aren't delivered yet and it's been 4 months.
This is very obvious a knock-off design stealing from Sony. As Massdrop claim themselves as an American base company, I wonder why this kind of sales would be allowed (or even being legal) on this site?
Grzegorz79Looks like it. As Nplateau77 said in the post below, these IEMs don't seem to exist anywhere else. My guess is that there will be silence regarding this drop in case they can secure enough of these to fill current orders, but more probably they will just announce at some point that the drop has been canceled and people have been refunded. I hope it's the former, because I wanna try these and because I already ordered an MMCX Bluetooth adapter to make them wireless. Oh well...
RyCan16mm in the Sony xb90ex... Fantastic basshead IEMs (that do mids and treble well too) that flew under the radar for so long and now go for a premium since Sony discontinued them
mayorblurpsAh this, it is really unfortunate to see everyone scalping these. eBay has them for 200 even 300 dollars when they originally cost under 100. Do you know of any iems that are close to that kind of sound?
My pair arrived today. No connection issues thus far. No channel imbalance, no buzzing sound. Not an audiophile-type of impression, but I can tell that the sound coming out of these are very slightly V-shaped, yet not too bass heavy. I'd say treble is sparkly at times but not piercingly so. Decent responses across the frequency range. Gotta play some more tunes to be conclusive, but I like these IEMs quite a bit so far.
jaetm83Similar experience. V-shaped, highs aren't piercing for me at all, cable works fine at any angle. Seems like the quality control is a little lacking and it comes down to luck a bit. My only complaint is that the bass is a little lighter than I like, but I could get foams and fix it easily.
777Sir100% put foams on, trble toned and bass a bit better. I have the comply smartcore om them (the only iems i have put them on that they fit and dont slide past the stopper on).
montyjay21The Tin Audio T2s have more crisp highs, though they tend to be piercing at times. These have crisp and bright highs, but, again, don't have to deal with the piercing highs or occasional semblance. Also, these seem to have a more natural sound signature, and tend to be a better all rounder. (I pulled allot of this from my source, as I haven't had first hand experience with both.)
