Don't let any of the audiophile snobs tell you that this is a bad IEM. To those of you out there who love your bass and hate the piercing trebbles that most "audiophile certified" IEMs tend to sound like, at least give this one a try. I have tried tons off IEMs in search of the perfect end game IEM and recommended tons of IEMs to my friends. But this IEM, the IE80 / IE80S (they're more or less the same) are the ones that most of my friends come back telling me that they love. Those of you that do own these IEMs, you'll know that the combination of Bass, the lack of piercing treble but not the absence of treble and the huge soundstage that will make you question at times whether certain sounds are coming from the earphones or the environment, will know that this combo is hard to come by in other higher end IEMs. I've tried tons of high end and chifi IEMs in search of a direct upgrade to no avail. Sure the other IEMs offer more details, or more instrument seperation or etc... But what these offer, its unique to the IE80 line. Give these a try. Most people who end up enjoying the ie80 never find something like it. Not one person on any forum has given me a direct upgrade. If any previous IE80 users know what I mean and have found a direct upgrade, please let me know. I've been dying to find something like this but better. But for alot of you, these might just be the one for you. Just give it a try. They're really comfortable as well.

TimmyThis was one of my first hi end IEMs. This and a pair of UE Triple-Fi 10 was my little bit of heaven in portable audio. The soundstage and presentation is huge. Of course the recommended burn-in is about 200 hours. These were so popular, half of the planet were trying to manufacture knockoffs and you had to make sure you were getting the real thing. I have a warm place in my memory for these - they are great for what they are - non-fatiguing, great bass and yes a veil... but you get used to it and they respond well to EQ. That and they are bulletproof. At $150 (Just looked and Amazon is at $350) it is a fun IEM. Can we trust Drop to ship the real thing? LOL

I own these iem's, and they are terrible. Extremely veiled, with overbearing bass. I wish I'd only paid $150 for them....

MuziqinemeNo, te wireless version costs more: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07WWKH1B7/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabt1_UoQSFb4TF35DT
MuziqinemeThese are wired, but there is a Bluetooth neckband accessory (with a really nice pair of beamforming mics, if you ever feel like taking a call on mid-fi IEMs haha).

Anyone want to explain to me why I’d want to buy them off of Drop instead of Amazon? I’m being serious. 1) It’s cheaper there 2) Ships in 2 days was legit excited when I saw these in my email and clicked the link only to see they weren’t any cheaper on Drop. Really wanted to buy off of here too. *sigh*

AlexFVeliz*responding to previous comment about previous sale* Wow, $150 is much more reasonable of a sale price and will most likely join this time around! (Unless of course there is now a cheaper price somewhere else)

AlexFVelizThere's little reason to buy much of anything from Drop. Between Amazon and Apos Audio this website doesn't have much to offer other than their cobranded products like the HD6XX, etc.

LordM00Thanks for the info. Noticed that it received a rating of "D". "Warm, bassy, congested and lacking in dynamics. Oddly sharp yet lacking in sparkle"
