Redstone02I am a side sleeper. With the synthetic pillow inserted, it is the perfect height to keep my cervical vertebre level with the rest of my spine. Also with the design, you can overstuff with clothes or a larger pillow. Very comfortable.

Redstone02I got one in a subscription box. It's about half the height of my beloved Thermarest pillow with the insert and packs about the same size. For me it was not at all comfortable in a side or stomach position. Stuffing with clothes makes my jaw painful (and is the reason I bought a pillow in the first place), so I'm sticking with the Thermarest that's as comfortable as my pillows at home.

almogI find it very peculiar that MD continues to ignore so many polls where Zpacks equipment is at the top. Sleeping bags, rain jackets, shelters, backpacks...on and on.
Either MD is choosing to ignore an obviously popular ultralight brand, or Zpacks aren't playing ball with discounting their product...

Telios@Telios - the answer is neither. I am in regular talks with Zpacks, and they like the Massdrop platform and the Ultralight Community here. We have a drop coming this week with them, though it is for a smaller item with limited quantity. I am very aware that Zpacks is at the top of many polls. It's not just them, either - I'm still trying to get TarpTent, SMD, MLD, Gossamer Gear, and so on.
Zpacks and I are trying to figure out a way to work together so that our group order doesn't overwhelm them (as those guys are pretty busy most of the year without our help), and in such a way that we can offer a compelling drop for our community here. In addition to the small drop this week, I hope to offer something pretty cool this winter.

I have this pillow. If you are a side sleeper, it barely provides any neck support on its own. Your best bet is to stuff it with extra clothes. And like melecha pointed out, the topper does tend to darken because of bodily oils. I would not recommend this pillow.

This pillow has a very minimal amount of down on the top. This thin down layer becomes laden with facial and hair oils fairly quickly and is mostly useless. You could buy a small polyester-filled pillow from a discount store and save yourself some money.

NorthernVenom@NorthernVenom - You're right, we both have the same lowest price. We can't get any lower than that on this pillow. However, this is still a better deal for those of us who don't pay for Amazon Prime, most of our international members, and even with Prime, members a majority of US states - Amazon collects taxes in many states but Massdrop only does in CA and NJ. We can't match their delivery speed though.

What happened to this drop? It was active yesterday and had ~3 days remaining. I was trying to join the drop but it wouldn't connect to Paypal. I decided to wait till today to see if it was just a bug, but it seems it's been taken down?

ScrappyMalloyYeah but the insert is quoted at 3 oz. I really like this pillow but never take the insert and always just stuff it with extra clothes or my down jacket if I don't wear it to sleep.
