Love these speakers, great alternative to something like the AudioEngine. It's a shame the company disappeared, I'm sure they would have made more great products had they got their marketing right. Still have mine 5 years on, working perfectly. If you have a pair one piece of advice is the audio sounds better through the line in than the USB input, especially with a good DAC. Doesn't look as nice as using the USB on the back, but its worth it.
My only gripe is you have to point the remote at the speakers, but its a small complaint for otherwise great speakers overall. Just wish there was more options in this category now Simple Audio no longer exists. If these stop working, the main options are AudioEngine or Kanto.
If anyone else still has a pair would love to hear your thoughts.
What is the plug between the speakers called? They look like 4 pin ATX cables but smaller... Looking for an extension cable to increase the distance!!!
Does anyone know what the simple audio listen speakers version of Bluetooth is ?, I have a pair of this speakers and a device with Bluetooth 4.0 connects ok, but a Bluetooth 4.2 device will not even see the speakers.....help please.
PavanSinghIt does also not work with my iPhone XS Max.....so it must be the simple audio listen, as in the earlier iPhone with blue tooth 4 they work fine with.
Does anyone know if there are driver updates or firmware updates for these speakers? I got them during the last drop. They've been crackling a lot whenever I multitask. For example; If I have YouTube on one tab and I am browsing any other website whenever that new site is loading the audio cracks and breaks until the page is done loading. It happens on Chrome or IE.
I've tried connecting them through my computers Bluetooth and I couldn't get a descent audio.. it was just constant cracking and white noise.
When I try to go to the Simple Audio Website for support it just brings me to their Roomplayer support articles. There are no articles for just the speakers.
Man today was an unlucky day for me. I was in love with these speakers, but today they decided to take a plunge on me. They are a simple, elegant, and great audio solution for my workstation but now they are outputting distorted sound. At first I thought it was an issue with my audio driver due to reinstalling it. I tried plugging the speakers into different computers and the issue persisted throughout the rest of the computers. To make sure it wasn't the usb cable I used the aux plug for the first time and it was faulty... The aux plug was loose, whenever I put small amount of pressure to the left of the aux plug it would stop playing sound or output a loud af distorted sound. :[ man I just lost my faith in quality for these. These also originally cost about 500. massdrop please halp. :(
