Hi there, We will not reply specifically to some comments but just give you some information about us.... The watch was a deliberate design process, and 7 prototypes were made to get exactly the product we wanted. When you design a watch everyone will make suggestions. You may listen and create a “frankenwatch” or stick to a specific design that you have envisioned. We cherish this watch and also our independence,...we are a micro brand with no other company behind us. We shall keep working in small numbers for now. To this day, N-core 001 was only produced at 300 pieces and 200 more will be made soon. that’s it. You will be wearing a very limited piece of design!! We hope that helps you to know a bit more about us. Stay safe
Ouch, i really liked how the watch looks, but the flak it got in the discussion, each time i glance at it wont let me look at my self with a straight face.
QXZ9027MKIIThe discussion section on all watches is a cesspool. Just recently getting into watch-buying, I have realized watch-people are snobs. If you like the way it looks, if the price is in your range, and you want to get it, get it. You will be the only one that knows the full story of the watch if you care, and others will only see the way it looks on you and think nothing of it. Watches are one of those underappreciated things by common folk. Others won't care if it is mechanical, Japanese or Chinese. As long as it tells time, it is "just a watch". You'll be the only one with the burden of thinking it is "not good enough". I bought this watch. It is unique.
I personally like the basic design language here, albeit quite flawed imho. Get this in the hands of some seasoned watch designers and you might have a winner. Make the case about 40-42mm, legit sapphire crystal, add some legability and finesse the dial (ie add more detail/craftsmanship), bring down the thickness to 10 or 11mm (seriously, that Heritor monstrosity on here is the same thickness with a hinged display caseback and automatic!), and stick a basic Miyota auto in there. I think that'd be a beautiful timepiece for under $500.
Please please please stop unloading all those failed Kickstarter-whatever-junk and start selling actual watches. There are a lot of real watch- enthusiasts on Drop and willing to pay for a good deal if only you would start selling watches and stop promoting whatever they are but certainly not watches.
Aside from the many ascetic points raised so far, it's also worth pointing out the dial on this watch appears to be some kind of disc (plastic, tin, communion wafer?) with pressed-in indentations serving as the indices. However, there is no lume and in combination with the "smoked-glass" crystal, seems actually reading the time in anything but optimum lightning would be difficult to say the least.
Can't wait to hear the reviews and see the wrist shots from those devil-may-care purchasers who braved our collective criticisms and general fun-making, and bought the damn thing anyway ;- )
