The SoundMagic E10M IEM is a variant of the popular, award-winning E10 model: a favorite on Head-Fi for its detailed sound and approachable price. This version keeps everything we love about the original and adds an inline remote and microphone compatible with most iPods, iPhones, and iPads Read More
Hopefully someone can answer some of the worries about these E10M IEMs:
Do they work well still with Android devices? I own an LG phone and purchased these ear buds when the drop was still going on.
Does the Mic work? I believe I read that the mic controls don't work with Android devices.
Is the cord very sensitive?
And lastly, was this a good purchase?
Thanks for anyone who reads this,
Cheers x
CoreymbI bought my 1st pair of them five years ago and will buy another one this year because they are slowly dieing. I loved these Headphones so much, never used the mic. Used it with two different Android devices and never had a problem. Paid the full price for them (50€) and must say they were more than worth it.
As for me, I'm amazed that, at the price, they are really pretty good for everyday use. There's sort of a broad bass boost, but it's more of a shelf than a peak, so I can control it to some extent by weakening the seal in my ear canals (of course that's the opposite of what one should normally do.) I have IEMs that were more expensive that don't have balanced frequency response, so these are a good value, in my opinion.
I bought a pair a year ago, it had a problem with static/interference, from more than one source. (Fiio DAC, Laptop, Phone)
I waited 6/8 months and got a 2nd pair and it had the exact same problem. I know some people highly recommend theses, but I highly doubt I got super unlucky with two pairs. I would suspect maybe the issue was more with some type of electromagnetic interference (environmental).
If you live in an area where interference may be a problem, please consider before purchasing. I used TTPOD buds and some Sony pair with the same sources and I never had this problem.
BlueCrownedThey work with Android Phones, Laptops ect. just fine. At the left headphone cord you have a switch that changes the quality depending on the devide. E.G. If it was "up" I had bad quality with my phone, but if I put it "down" the quality was perfect. I think it was even described as iOS/Android switch or something.
