How do you even request a replacement? I think the capacitors blew in my right speaker and I can't for the life of me find a way to contact any form of support.

< 2 years and it fails? This is the bane of our insane addiction to buying junk made in China. When will we free ourselves of the Chinese curse?

Any chance we could get a drop on the MKIII+ version of these? remote control, revised tweeter design and optical in make these ideal sound bar killers...

For those of you following me here on Massdrop. Do it. Don't even think about it. Just grab a set. These on a desk or in a small room. VERY hard to beat.

ZeosPanteraBut what about the M200 MkIII+? They have a different tweeter which may make it even better. I am just curious if anyone has actually heard them, because a better tweeter and that amazing surround sound effect they have would be even better. I just do not want to loose the signature of the original M200 MkIII and end up paying more.

VeeKYeah, it's only $102.97 for shipping to Canada, but the result severely limits the savings you get from a group buy.

We have some great news everyone. Our vendor has informed us that inventory will become available to them within the next few days. They will be working hard to prepare your individual orders for shipment and aim to ship everything out by Friday. That would put us a week ahead of schedule!
Expect an update from us by the end of the day Pacific Time on 8/12 or sooner if something comes up.

ArthurMArthur, I am still trying to get a straight answer from support about my missing speakers from this drop. All I get is, 'when we get something we will ship it." Have they found a replacement? Are they even looking for a replacement. It has been over a month since the drop ended and I am completely in the dark. Can you get an answer from support for me?

I have the mkII version of these, excellent speakers. Quite easy to upgrade too! I swapped the drivers with the other HIVI (same company as swan) drivers. They look and sound far better. By far the best 60 dollar upgrade I have ever done.

Probably yes, I dont want to make any promises, but it seems like swan/hivi has only a few options for dome tweeters, what is nice though is even if you dont have an exact fit, since there's a cover over it you can maybe modify any tweeter to fit and cover your "shoddy" cutting and fitting with the cover.
As for rears not exactly sure of any good ones that will compliment it exactly... Personally I wouldn't add any more speakers, not worth the money. If you are truly adventurous make your own with swan drivers!

andrew.wongwill do thank you for the advice sorry for late reply. Massdrop finally added in a notifications function on the website and I saw your reply. I will probably eventually upgrade the front speakers to home built and move the d1080's to the back as surrounds.

The M200 Mk.3 is o ften compared with the A5+ from Audioengine. Really, there isn't even a comparison, the Mk.3 is just on a whole other level. While it is more expensive than the A5+, the quality (just the wood itself) finish is really just another step up from the A5+, of which I'd say worth it.
The mids on the Mk.3 are just so liquidy smooth, so beautiful and has that sense of bone chill when listening to vocal heavy content. While it won't have the weight in bass with systems that come with a sub, the bass on the Mk.3 is tight and profound with enough impact. It's quality bass, not quantity, so if you're a basshead then look into getting an extra sub.
Now the treble, it sizzles with enough energy but at times can feel a little too bright. This does mean plenty of clarity and the A5+ is no match for the Mk.3 in this area. Treble can be adjusted, but I found that having it at around 2 o'clock on the dial is almost just right, with the bass at 11' oclock. Obviously your taste will vary, but I found this to be a very well-rounded setup for most type of content, heavy action movies and games included.
So yes, go for them. Swan isn't easy to get in the US, but they make exceptional products that really beats plenty of the major old-time US contenders, namely Audioengine and Polk.
Oh and for the person asking how it compares with the Monoprice 8", please... just, don't.

Haven't heard the RC-10.
I used to believe the A5+ were the best speakers at the $400 mark. But once I heard the Mk.3, while it is a little bit more than $400, it just... you know, the A5+ has never been the same to me since then.
Everytime I go back to the A5+ after listening to the Mk.3, there's this empty gap that the A5+ is missing. The hazier clarity, the sometimes dull mids, that lower impact on the bass, there's a sense of something very missing from the A5+.
Obviously the A5+ does go on discount a lot more often than the Mk.3 and if one can scour it for say $350 or even less, that tips the favor to the A5+ significantly, that is if price is a factor.

They're simply not the same. The build quality it self is already miles ahead on the Mk.3, you just simply... don't compare them like that.
Not saying the Monoprice 8" sound bad, they're actually pretty decent for how much it is selling. But you're really like comparing a Samson/Superlux to a LCD-2/LCD-X, in a headphone metophorical way.

Is the $187.12 shipping cost to Australia accurate? It seems rather excessive.

khingyThat seems about right. If the speakers die then they have to cover the cost of return shipping and the speakers are heavy.

AdamleonpetersChane music and Cinema is a direct order speaker company selling their own speakers and home theater speakers, as well as a Swan dealer. If you are interested if ask them about shipping, they might offer it. Though over seas shipping can be expensive and may not be work it.
It never hurts to ask.
