To add on to this, iPhone and older Android users probably don't care all that much about it. Some products can only charge with Type C to Type A cables. My Astrotec S60 doesn't support USB PD via Type C to C. Unfortunately they are going for microUSB with their initial run of the upcoming S80.
My rowkin wireless earbuds use a USB-C connector, the case can charge wirelessly and they are on Bluetooth 5. They sound pretty good, are comfortable and stay in on long runs. The only downsides are the touch controls on the earbuds are finnicky and the left bud can cut out in weird circumstances. But it's easy to overlook when you get all of this for about $100.
scottluAAC is audibly transparent (i.e., as good as can be perceived by human hearing) at a much lower bitrate than LDAC, providing more energy efficient audiophile grade listening.
15 hours playtime, that's in between charges of the case and not the earbuds right? The earbuds can be charged a few times before the case needs to be charged again. How long will the earbuds go in between charges?
Did a quick search and it looks like you're good. Bluetooth 4.2 and higher tends to support ACC and it looks like your device does both.
Basically this means that it'll convert your audio files using the ACC so your audio files are really going to be the only bottleneck here. SBC is typically coded to only be used as a backup in the instance that ACC isn't supported by the device it's streaming to. That of course depends on how the programmers set up the audio device, but usually ACC is going to take priority.
Basically, ya you're good to go.
Edit: I forgot to add that even though your device has a Qualcomm chip in it, it looks like it doesn't support aptX so I'm assuming the chip they used was slightly older or they just opted to not use it for some reason.
I have some cheap <$10 wireless earbuds I got off Ebay a while ago & they are OK. The sound is a bit muddled and bass-y but considering the price it's hard to complain. What really bothers me is when my phone is in my front left pocket, the right bud cuts out when I turn my head to the right and when it's in my back pocket they both cut in & out as I walk. I guess my thick skull works like a Faraday cage. :-(
I've been eyeballing the NuForce drop (https://drop.com/buy/drop-nuforce-move-wireless-in-ear-monitors) but September is a long time to wait. Does anybody have any experience with these?
