Product Description
The Galaxy T2 is a new value IEM from TFZ, a brand that’s earned a great reputation on Massdrop for making products that perform well above their price. This one features a 12-millimeter double-magnetic-circuit graphene driver, and at 16 ohms, it can be easily driven by most mobile sources Read More
Finally received mine! They sound great, but one problem I am experiencing already is when I plug it into my PC it makes a hissing sound, this weird sound doesnt occur when I plug it into my phone though. Does anyone have a solution for this? Thanks!!!
i use them for my VSonic VSD5S (new edition) mostly as volume compression fixer (so i can turn it up to 18/20)
And they actually do fix hiss issues like it's nothing
(tested on a very noisy badly grounded notebook - works like magic) ^^''
it's expensive, and i never needed to use the < 1 Ohms mode i think it was -16db(A) cut ?
The soundchange was just noticable on that mode, but for the default one which also the EarBuddy features (cheaper option without balance support) the sound change is closely to non noticable as the benefits/changes of a clean soundstage are just stronger then the micro sound change the normal mode does
You maaybe hear a tinny bit of less bass on something very sensitive like the Campfire Polaris
But the change is soo tiny - the benefits of this "dongle" are just waay stronger :)
Aka you very likely (if you don't know what to look for) won't even notice the spectrum change~
bluejaycBTW EarStudio ES100 is on sale right now so if you haven't got any real sound card for your PC already then you could try this one. I joined the drop today and hope it won't disapoint me.
I’m sure none of us would have signed up for the drop unless we wanted it to actually drop. I’m still committed because I care about this drop, but knowing a remidiated timeline would be very much appreciated.
ChaosMasterIt's a dynamic driver, which is to say, there's a speaker cone which is being moved back and forth by an attached magnet. The lighter the weight of the cone, the more responsive it is. The stiffer the cone, the more efficient it is. Graphene is a pretty good material in very small quantities, like the size of an IEM driver. The price plummeted over the last few years as people figured out how to make it.
Graphene could also be used to make an electrostatic driver, in which a membrane serving as the cone is charged up and vibrated between electromagnets, However, that requires a high voltage that isn't going to be a good fit inside your ears, nor will it play well with your cellphone's tiny amp.
oinkoink08I emailed support and they literally just did a copy-and-paste of the email from 3/6 that originally mentioned the delay, so... no update I guess.
MelanieTIf you mean "active noise cancelling", they're not. If you mean passive noise isolation, I can't tell exactly how much they isolate. And for the ZS6 cable, you can find them real cheap on AliExpress, just search "zs6 cable", there's some nice silver cables selling for under $10.
So I actually got these off of Amazon because I had a $25 gift card, so it was a bit cheaper and came in 2 days, and I actually had a different experience than a lotta reviews.
My current IEM's are Soundmagic E50s, and they're like $35 on Amazon, and I love them - they're flat (which I like because I produce and do a lotta mixing) and their treble is really nice and crisp. The T2's are extremely comfortable wearing them and they isolate quite a bit of sound which I thought was very surprising since I thought they just kinda sat on your ear rather than jamming them in like typical ear buds or peasant IEM's. When I first listened to a track with the T2's, I was really surprised because the bass was super strong, and most of all, in a bad way, the treble was super mushy. I opened up one of my projects on Ableton, and where I had open hats and hi-hats, on the E50s they were clear and separated, but with the T2's it just sounded like a mush of white noise. Listening to other tracks (that are better mastered and have more creative synths), I thought that the bass was too loud and the treble was just too quiet and mushy and unclear, even with an EQ to lower the bass... Which is why I returned these and will just continue using the E50s :) It's just my opinion that I like flat monitors, I used to CRAVE bass when I used to only listen to music. But after getting the Soundmagics, I really started to enjoy being able to hear every single sound in a track.
Yeah I listened to music on my phone (iphone SE) at first - in my opinion it was horrible and still had very mushy and unclear highs and had waay too much bass for my liking. I switched to my DAC/AMP (Fiio e10k) and it was a bit better but the highs and overall sound quality was nowhere near as clear as my current IEM's. Obviously people like different things but it just wasn't clean enough for me ://
kaichuThanks for the info, some of my best sounding IEM’s are the cheapest any recommendations I listen pretty much through my iPhone 8plus all the time. Not a big blue tooth fan I like hard wired 🙏
