On a complete whim, I ordered the stainless steel top with the ruby bearing and the electron spin station. I've never been into tops before. I'm 46, why the hell would I be? But the engineering and physics aspects of it all intrigued me. Still, I considered canceling my order for several days. I'm glad I didn't. The top and spin platform are gorgeous and elegant. The one negative is that one of my cats is fascinated by the top. He will gently paw at it, potentially ruing a long spin. It's ok though, as we both enjoy the top. Longest spin so far is 8 minitues, 39 seconds and 83 parts of a second. Very cool!

Tanks bruv! Da flippa is, oh dear, I think a friend gave it to me in the 90's. He was frustrated because it had a stiff action and was basically impossible to open and close like balisong people like to do. It's a no name blade. I spent a month opening and closing it with no oil. I'm not sure of the quality of the blade. But the the whole setup has been bomb proof. Meaning, if I grasp the brass coloured handles, and gently twist them in the coronal, transverse and sagittal planes of motion, there's very little play between the handles and blade. Maybe we need a good balisong dropp😀.

This is the best spinning top I own (I have 4). It is heavy enough, with a superb knurled finger grip, to spin rather easily (and not fly all over the place) and then to spin for very long times (best time thus far for me is a little over seven minutes). I spin it on a little round glass "stage" I own with the other tops I have. Since it has a glass tip, glass-on-glass seems to generate little friction, so spins go for a long time. If I spin it just right, it looks perfectly upright and still, not moving, as it spins. I set it out at social gatherings at our house; folks are fascinated and want to see how long they can make it spin.

DrJackFor anyone sitting on the fence, don't delay .... These are excellent tops at a great price. I've got 2 all brass polished "mixed metals" (which are actually all brass and slightly heavier). I'm old, uncoordinated and still my best/typical times are 11/6 minutes for my ceramic and 13/8 for my ruby. Very dependable, balanced spinners. Worth it at twice the price, which is what I payed direct. I've since gotten a Prometheus Lambda, another fine premium top, but I'm on top of this deal to add a Stainless to my collection.

Fantastic top. Spinning base not worth the price, mediocre design and craftsmanship.
Top: Excellent machining. Mesmerizing to watch. New to spinning. I can get 4-6 minutes but slowly figuring out how to get a steady spin. Hope to get up to the 8 minute advertised spin time soon. Spinning Base: Metal base is nice to look at but quality and function are lacking. There is too much room for the relatively light glass to wobble around in the base. I'm afraid it is taking away energy from the spin. The glass also has quite a few bubbles on the edge and the edge grind is sloppy. Not super noticeable unless you inspect it closely but it should be perfect or near perfect for this price. The design and craftsmanship of the base simply don't match the quality of the top. Would not recommend at this price.

This little guy is a friggin BEAST! I'm very new to spinning tops but I know quality. This top is definitely top of the line. I opted for copper and a ruby bearing. The shine is mesmerizing, a good weight, and super spin time! I've gotten it just under 5 minutes. Color me impressed. Let the obsession begin....

I have many other tops, which are all cheaper in price and quality, and by far Vorso Mk1 is the King in terms of looks and spin duration. Although it isn't cheap, it's a nice gadget to have if you can afford it. It's very beautiful and oddly addictive. It's well balanced and a novice can get a nice spin as it seems to self correct. I am very happy with my Vorso Mk1 and recommend it to others.

Nice toy.
I was surprised to see how long it was spinning at my first try. Quite good for a novice. If I practice regularly, I can increase its rotation time considerably. Beautiful, amusing and relaxing in one. I am quite satisfied with it.

I have a brass one and a stainless, I have gotten 14 minutes a couple times with the brass. It takes patience and somedays it just won't work but overall the best spinners I have.
