I'm curious to know how the Thieaudio Phantoms compare to the Monolith M1060? Which is your favorite and why. Thanks!

These look like those Advanced Alphas that came out a few years ago. I remember there was a controversy about them being rebranded OEM stuff. Looks like it wasn't too far of a leap. Does anyone know if these sound the same?

They are listed in the comments below.. different pads. Take out foam etc.. it's quite easy to do.. ideally they shouldn't need to be modded of course..

Does anyone know the dimension of the headphones? What pads will fit for these? Does the Brainwavz XL and Dekoni audeze fit?

Thanks. I entered the drop of the audeze dekoni pads and got the velour ones. Hope they’ll fit well. Do you have a picture of the phantom with the dekoni pads? Ill probably get next the sheepskin and suede pads from brainwavz cause they’re much less expensive.

Didn't buy through Drop, but yes with mods these sounds great and hence, underrated.
  1. Remove foam under pads and grill.
  2. Remove or replace the grills as they are made of metal and pull against the magnetic driver underneath.
  3. I replaced the stock pads with Beyerdynamic DT Hybrid pads from dekoni, they fit well and help isolate the bass and generally improves sound.
I use these when I dont need the extreme detail of the Focal Elex, more for casual listening. Have a picture posted in photo section.

I guess I've been wrong all this time because I always thought OFC stood for "oxygen free copper".

These are legit are terri-bad out of the box. They need some serious mods. Somehow managed to get a loop-the-loop in the frequency response
