Very cool, but absolutely no way to attach it. So you'd have to put your cool titanium thermos into a bag or wrap or somesuch anyway, why bother with expensive titanium?
Needs a method to hang from bag/strap/pack IMO. Unless of course someone wants to carry it around in their hand all the time.
The next time that I go camping and believe that I will need a glass of perfectly chilled Dom Perignon on the evening of the second day, I'm going to consider purchasing one of these. For the present time, it seems like a huge waste of capital.
sorry to be so dense. I didn't realize that the drop was over and the price was no longer available. I believe that it was somewhere in the vicinity of $50-60.
Might just be me, but does this mug not have a sipper built into its lid? Like, you need to unscrew the entire top of the travel mug and pour the contents elsewhere to drink it?
Seems so, at least.
ScoobmxI know that the Kanpai bottle can hold a can, and can keep a beer or soda ice cold for a couple of days. No idea if this one does though. And the snow peak kanpai comes with three different lids and in two different sizes.
PeeweeJonesI ended up taking a chance and getting this. I've used it for about 2 weeks so far. It's definitely a simpler product than the kanpai - only 1 lid, but I like it. It's slim enough to fit into most things designed for bottles (bike bottle cages, cupholders, backpack bottle compartments), which couldn't happen if you wanted it to fit cans. It keeps drinks cold for many hours, but I doubt days.
massdropisdeadWhy do people constantly see drops for titanium stuff and post a link to a steel one thinking they are equal? You might as well ask why Kobe is some expensive when ground beef is $6/lb at the grocery.
massdropisdeadWhy am I supposed to give a $80 shit about whether it's titanium or steel? If titanium will help me avoid losing the thing for 6x as long, then it might be worth 6x the price.
Depends on which model you choose to buy.
“The SlickSteel® interior finish was introduced for our customers who prefer to avoid PTFE nonstick. We’ve electro-polished the interior, resulting in a surface that resists corrosion and repels stains without the use of nonstick coating. ” https://www.zojirushi.com/blog/?p=3685
”The nonstick coating is made from a chemical called PTFE, also known as Teflon, which makes cooking and washing up fast and easy. ... However, Teflon has been PFOA-free since 2013. Today's nonstick and Teflon cookware is completely safe for normal home cooking, as long as temperatures do not exceed 570°F (300°C).” https://www.healthline.com/nutrition/nonstick-cookware-safety
glennacMy zojirushi does not keep my drinks hot for 8 hours. If I'm working a night shift, it's great to have my coffee at least warm at hour 10 of 12.
