Just a little background on these for folks who are thinking about getting a set.
These IEM's were first put on an overseas website and sold out in hours. Why?
Bad Guy Good Audio Reviews did a review of these and also posted them to his Discord channel.
All us "bass-heads" bought the lot (I missed the first lot by..."that much!"). I got in on the 2nd shipment at the end of August. These are for bass-heads or folks that like a good, solid low-end.

No one likes to buy something without some sort of reference or review so, take a look at the review and then decide.

I have not heard any BA only IEM that can reproduce bass like a good dynamic driver. This is why most IEM's these days are hybrids or even tribrids. Pure BA is so old IEM school.

Beryllium copper is only 2% beryllium. Or less.
A set of pure Beryllium golf clubs, assuming half a cubic foot volume = 1 set of golf clubs, would come to ~$130,000 USD in raw material cost. Your golf clubs are 300x cheaper because they are an alloy, not because Beryllium is cheap.
Acquiring small amounts of pure Beryllium, ready to cast from a company like Materion would be difficult. Most suppliers wouldn't bother with an order that small. Then assuming you don't have the ability to cast it yourself you have to contract someone to cast... a microns thin film shaped into a dome, to be sold in a consumer audio product instead of... aerospace, scientific instrumentation, nuclear power, x-ray equipment and the multitude of other applications that demand high prices for critical applications, then you may begin to see why the economies of scale do not work in favor of a pure beryllium loudspeaker of any size.
It's more likely AlBeMet or similar alloy or a coating of a standard polymer. unless he has found a remarkably cheap supplier of small quantities of beryllium foil.

I got few question regarding these
1/ the mention of medical grade resin, I work at the hospital and we used to joke that everything we used has medical infront of the instrument we can add an extra zero at the end for the price tag, does that mean these are actually minus a zero if they don't use medical resin?
2/ the missing cable... this is like a certain popular smartphone that sells you the phone, just minus the charger
3/ are these sold in pairs or which side am I ordering? Lf or Rt? I cant clarify at the checkout
4/ I know some vegan or church goer is going to ask so I asking for them, are those abalone shell "ocean/ ecosystem friendly farmed/ cultured" or not

No strain relief for the connectors? I'd imagine it would be very easy to snap off the pins and get them stuck inside the housing. Also no cable provided? How do we know what the polarity is supposed to be?

I appreciate ALL the opinions thrown my way (both agree and disagree). Thank you. Music is a choice and no matter how you get to your "end game" set of headphones or IEM's (or both) good for you.
I do have an update from third party folks who have received the first THOR shipment (they started arriving yesterday).
So far, and remember these are for "bass-heads" they have received a very warm welcome.
Come with THOR Hammer?: No.
Stock Tips: "tripowin foamies"
Nozzle: Described as "Good length." Not a "shorty".
Sound: As expected. Tilts to the bass but not overwhelming.
I **should** have mine in shipment two (end of August). I'll let you know what I think of them.

I contacted Drop the other day to see what was going on, this was the response I got. "Thank you for reaching out to Drop Community Support. My name is Haley, and I will be happy to look into this for you. I apologize for this delay. I see that the last update we had was from November 6th. We are waiting to receive the item from the manufacturer, but have not yet. I apologize for the lack of updates. Hopefully we will hear from the manufacturer soon. I guess this is the price we have to pay when we are ordering something that has to come from China during a pandemic, hopefully they show up soon.

So this is getting really weird, and I hate to say it but unacceptable. I reached out the drop a while ago and got a response basically telling me they are running a few days behind. I also got an email from drop that I'm sure went out to all the customers saying "If we find that the launch is going to be delayed by more than 30 days, we will let you know."
Well it's been over a month and nothing, they didn't even let me know it would be a delay of over a month.
I don't want to cancel because I want the IEM's, but I haven't gotten any clue about what's going on. I would like to know what the hold up is and a realistic idea of when I will be getting my purchase. That's all. A bit more communication would be great, I guess I'm lucky because I've never had an issue with massdrop, now drop, before.
