...sometimes loses BT stereo connection. Which is strange because they have great range from my iPhone X.
just lose sight of each other on opposite sides of my skull.
upgrades over the previous generation are significant: USB-C charging case and interchangeable ear loops available for different connector styles are both real game changers.
Overall this is the best Bluetooth TW IEM dongle set out there at the moment. As the tech matures, surely a hi fi company will produce a similar thing with serious sound, app control, and better construction with fewer weaknesses to iron out.
I would buy it.
Disappointed - poor connectivity/lots of dropouts no matter how far away from BT source
The concept is great - these would allow those of us who already have decent IEMs to enjoy the freedom of devices like the Airpod/Airpod Pro, assuming they worked. Unfortunately I have had no luck getting them to work reliably with an iPhone X, a Google Pixel XL, a Hisense Q9G TV, or my Nvidia Shield Pro. Constant dropouts no matter how far apart from the source. Contacted Drop re: replacement as they may be defective - no replacements available so opted for a credit to my Drop account (but not for the full cost of the product). My hopes are that a future firmware update from Linsoul may correct my connectivity issues.
I really like this setup's sound stage, detailing, separation and all the other hifi words I kinda think I understand. At moderate volume or less, there is an audible high pitched that is uncomfortable and even painful. When the music is full, you can almost ignore it. I'll be seeking exchange or refund. Pairing and charging seem great so far.
It was an easy setup and has a good battery life. Only issue is with the USB-C charging port. I tried using an existing cable to charge and it was too loose. Sound seems nice and clean without any distortion or drops.
Over all I like the bluetooth module and they work pretty good. Occasionally the right one will stop playing like the connector isn't completely touching the earbud.
They sound good, seem to have fairly respectable range, and let me use my IEMs more often. I use this with FIIO FH1s as a cost effective way to block out outside sound. I have no issues with fitting the IEMs into the case, as some have reported. It's tight, but it works. It does seem the USB-C connector only works with the included one. It's about a quarter of an inch longer than a standard USB-C connector, and that quarter inch seems to be needed to fully seat the cable. This effectively makes the cable proprietary, which kinda sucks.
Good. Dodgy build quality keeps them from being great.
I would really like to rate these higher based on how well they do the things they're supposed to do, but unfortunately there seems to be some quality-control issues with them that can't be ignored. That said, I would still recommend them to a friend, but with some words of caution about the build quality:
I'm on my second set of these -- the right unit on my first set just spontaneously stopped working two days after I got them, and will not come back to life (luckily, you can use just one side at a time without issues).
My second set seems to be holding up so far, BUT.. on this pair, the right-side unit has some trouble making a good connection with the charging pins in the case unless it's positioned absolutely perfectly (and yes, I tried the other case as well - same issue).
Because of this, I have almost no confidence these are going to last very long with daily use.
Too bad, because I *really* like them otherwise; they're light and comfortable, they sound great, battery life is incredible, the microphone(s) are good, the connection is stable and has really good range, etc., etc.
So to a friend who was looking for something like this, I would say buy them because once you get a good copy, you'll be really happy with them.. just be prepared to engage in a refund/exchange cycle until you do.
Bluetooth will not pair to each other or phone, ear hooks are too soft
Charged them and then connected via MMCX to my UE900's without a snag. But once charged I am unable to get the right ear adapter to connect via the bluetooth 5.0 to my phone or the left ear adapter. So for me the product was DOA. So far unable to recommend.
aimholtHi. It's not clear from the instructions but you need to pair the two ear pieces before connecting by Bluetooth. If it's not done in that order it doesn't work.
The range on these is great when paired with a proper bluetooth device. iPad and Android with aptX seem to be the best. The noise floor on this device is particularly high, but seeing as there aren't many alternatives of the same caliber I think it's worth it. Sound quality is decent, but I find bass is somewhat lacking and it doesn't sound as clear as I might expect. Overall great product tho. Battery is great and charges without a problem.
