UE Live Universal is only $1399 on UE site. Am I missing anything here? https://pro.ultimateears.com/ue-live-universal.html

That is a special deal, not a regular price. Once they are gone, they are gone. Clear only.

Checked out the UE website for the custom fits. If you take their exam, they ask you for your email and send you a code for: $100 off UE 7 $200 off UE 11 $300 off UE 18+ & Live I was looking at the UE 18+, $1120 for Universal Fit on Drop or $1199 for custom fit straight from them. I think for everything else, there's a larger difference in favor of Drop though.

It looks like the drop is back on. Does anyone who has ordered the UERR in the past managed to get it with the solid white cap and Capitol Records logo? There is a review online where the new owner just got the white caps with the standard UE logo. If you are going to get the regular logo, you might as well get an upgraded cap.

Yea... sadly I don't think it comes with the Capital Records faceplate. I think you're right about it being better value to choose one of the premium options since they usually cost a fair bit more. Though perhaps if one really wanted it they could perhaps get it off Drop, and then send it to UE to change the faceplate for $100? Tedious, but technically it would still be ~$100 cheaper than MSRP?

Amazing.... I emailed customer support on the 7th - nine days later they email me (while there is still 9 hours left to make a purchase) to tell me that there is no 'current run' for the UERR and would I contact them when it is available again, to see if the choice of the Capitol Records logo could be ordered. I of course replied that the IEM is still available - but won't be by the time they answer in another 9 days. Edit: They got back to me same day - but told me it would be 3-5 days before they could find out if the Capitol Records Logo was available - well maybe next time.

I would recommend getting customs over the universal fit. If you sign up for email alerts from Ultimate Ears, you'll be notified when they go on sale. I bought the UE7 CSX. CSX is their easier process to do customs. I love them. The fit is amazing and so is the sound. I could leave them in all day.

Can't place order. When I press pre-order button it tells me to select a model which is only possible at a later time (i.e. during checkout).
Heard through the grapevine that Drop is looking into the checkout issues.

Hi all, sorry for this! We'll work to have the issue fixed by early next week and extend the promotion to give everyone the opportunity to purchase.

$720 for an IEM set, geez, these things must be made from "unobtainium"? Does the maker of this 1 come to your house for a "personalized" fitting as well? With a price like that, sure would hope that they give the buyer one hell of an earth shattering experience, at least eargasmic perhaps?

Fair nuff. Thanks for the smack on the head. =D But! The drop did make me decide to check out UE's website... and order a pair. So, I guess thanks to Drop for that!

I see you haven't heard of the Effect Audio King Arthur IEMs - they only go for $6,999.99. Kinda makes buying UE products a bit like slumming. It is all relative. There are even more insane prices out there if you look. You can spend $60 for a 4 BA IEM and over a grand for one - Usually you can tell the difference.
