You haven’t heard “bang for the buck” until you’ve picked up the Monk Plus earbuds from Venture Electronics. Praised for delivering a level of sound quality rarely found in the earbud category, they’ve taken the Head-Fi community by storm Read More
Lol these sound so incredibly bad. I can't believe the people below saying they sound better than... anything, really. I guess if you want 0 bass and 0 highs combined with some incredibly uncomfortable pieces of plastic resting in your ears, you're all set...
easy for someone to fake yours. Much easier for you to claim somebody faked yours while you dump the ones that didn't make it past quality control onto the Chinese market. That is the norm. No reason to think your company is any different, especially after hearing the evidence for myself.
p.s. It wouldn't be me asking you shit about the red ones. Not interested in them...or anything else from you for that matter.
I'm not Chinese but generalizing everything coming from that country is totally not fair bro. Just because you bought fake ones doesn't automatically give you the authority to whine about it and spread bullsh*t about the real thing. It was your responsibility to check whether you're buying the legit thing or not, no matter what the price is. And it's actually a kind of compliment for VE that their stuff are getting pirated because of popularity. They even put a disclaimer at some of their stores that they don't have much distributors and people should only buy from their official stores. You got sh*t because you weren't careful enough so be a little sport about it and stop being a racist assh*le.
I don't know about that. I'm sure some stores just flip authentic ones. I bought some from a random seller on Ali Express that turned out to be legit. They sound great, so they have to be, and Mr. Lee said he didn't create an HD800 killer.
Well, that's his style for as far as I know of VE. He doesn't sugar coat words and let his products speaks for themselves. And that is one of the reason why he is loved by VE fans up till this day.
I got these from a previous drop a couple days ago. The audio quality is very good but they are some of the most uncomfortable earbuds I've ever worn. Sad since the price and quality is so good.
Hey guys~ this is Lee from Venture Electronics~
I just wanna to post and clear some air regarding the shipping details.
first of all, all MP ordered are already in the Massdrop warehouse in U.S.
therefore, they will be shipped from the states.
and a lot of guys here think that MassDrop is Shit, they are too Fxxking slow.'
Yes, it has taken longer than we expected,
No, plz do not blame massdrop, they paid me in a very prompt fashion, then we were going to ship them via DHL and here it comes the nightmare........
DHL air inspection claim our packages are having magnets too strong to be shipped with them, so we got a couple of days delay with them, then we tried with fedex, same story~
Eventually my forwarder pulled some magic and got them shipped with ups~
So all the delay is caused by the sudden change of HK air shipping policy~
We had been send stuff with dhl all the time in hundreds in the same fashion.
but never this trouble before (well it is also possible that 3000+ units in one shipment is a bit tooooo many lololol)
Anyways, I just wanna say thanks for all your support and a loooooooooot of patience , of course, wanna thank Massdrop, especially Matthew and Arthur for all their hard work to make this happen.
I am excited to hear some feedback here or on head-fi.
Cheers
Lee
For those who don't like the sound out of the box, keep in mind these require an extra 120 hours break in due to their small size.
I play them while letting them soak in olive oil to get that tube sound.
These aren't some 'cheap-o' quality housings though.
The plastic moldings on these are very smooth. Most people's complaint about earphones are poor molding and the jagged/sharp mold lines. That's absent in this. The Monk uses some powerful magnets (They will repel each other and clasp onto metal surfaces.) which leads to some impressive sound and bass, even the highs are on par, though not higher volumes as they can get piercing. Also, the soundstage is amazing. They're pretty much mini-open headphones for portable use.
I don't use earbuds because of the silicone inserts irritate my canal and the bass/sound is too close for soundstage.
In the end, it all comes down to personal preference and anatomy. The Monks fit me snuggly (I don't use foam covers, they're a bit itchy) and I've used them jogging, at work, and in strong winds, never came off.
Don't snark something because you don't understand/comprehend the differences between your opinion and a solid product.
CaptainBackfatI find this style MUCH more comfortable than the ear canal style. Can't even lay on my side with the canal style. Sound probably isn't as good, but when sound quality matters, I use HPs.
Tim9800lol
are you in the US though? shipping to locations in the US should only be 2 bucks, overseas is probably more, pretty sure 15 bucks or something like that is standard.
I guess those who aren't so familiar with Venture Electronics need more information on head-fi.org Maybe you're right, but they do have time to do their own research to determine whether they're going to have none or some;)
Anyway, enjoy the buds, bro.
By the way, my Duke also shines on Teac UD 301.
