Question: is there a rationalization for getting the WA7d in order to use the optical connection in order to avoid buzz that can happen via ground loop between the computer and amp?
I have had issues with some amps and not others where there is a buzz that disappears when disconnect the USB. Optical connection would not carry electrical and avoid such ground loop issues, right? If so, maybe a rationalization for the WA7d if have an optical out on computer. The premium seems a little high for the additional feature but might come in handy vs chasing
solutions with isolators/filters and such. Thoughts?
D3Distractedthat may be one application for optical, but for a well-designed amplifier with usb should not have ground loop issues. i would be surprised if this amplifier had that problem.
