The idea here is that this Xduo will be the only, or due to its ability to receive LDAC, the better Bluetooth receiver. You treat it as you would a CD player - hook it into your receiver or amp or headphone amp via analog RCA or digital SPDIF. I’ve just tested it’s RCA out to one of my headphone amps (Schiit Vali, original). Pleasantly surprised to find a wider soundstage and overall more confident sound than going directly out of HiBy R3 3.5 mm jack wired. So much for wired always being superior to BT. We are in a new world.
Trying to decide between this and the FiiO BTA30.
$40 more for better DAC chip and ability to send and receive BT.
And bit more versatile with DAC mode and a volume control.
Anyone have experience with BTA30?
So I send a file from my laptop, via Bluetooth, to my XDUO XQ50 DAC, and then to my Headphone amp, via cables, where the signal is massaged, shall we say, and then sent to my cans, through cables, and out again to my ears?
Have I got that right?
Is this thing fine if I want to just convert USB to digital without any signal/quality loss? I want to be able to use active speakers that have no USB (only digital) input connected to this device and use the DAC/Amp of the speakers. Maybe the NOT pro version that is cheaper will do the job too?
Also, it doesn’t matter how expensive your active speakers were they will not have a dac that will outperform the external ones and possibly still not be as good as your laptop (depending on model).
I highly recommend you do some research before handing over any cash as I think you’re confused as to what does what and what goes where.
*edit....or you could just tell us what your speakers actually are? An audio interface could be what you’re looking for.
I forgot that I ordered this; I thought I understood what it does, but now I realize I don't know. Can someone correct me if I'm wrong?
You power this, and connect to it via Bluetooth.
And then the output goes through one of the formats, intended to act as the input source for a speaker system/setup.
That's it, right?
Why are you saying that? Now I am confused about how this device functions. Perhaps we are looking at different products? The pictures I was just viewing clearly showed the digital audio outputs (both co-axial and optical sockets) labeled as "Outputs". I was thinking I could use them to connect this device to one of my integrated amplifier's digital audio inputs. On the pictures I was viewing it showed some analog outputs that come out on regular RCA connectors as "Auxiliary Outputs"; but I'm not interested in those at the moment.
I think I can use this in the way that Smokey249 is also wanting to use it.
Mar3tyYou can use digital outputs to your amp but then you’d only be using this as a Bluetooth receiver only. You’d be defeating the purpose of this product and should just buy a standard Bluetooth receiver.
If you want to buy and use it for it’s DAC capability’s, then you will use the analogue outputs only.
The previous batch is being shipped via PostNL. Perhaps one of the worst logistics provider ever. As these are being shipped from CN to NL, then to the rest of the world.. Probably transit times could be up to 1.5 months, excluding customs clearance. Oh joy..
Hello! I just wanted to ask what the shipping times look for this product? I know things are crazy with COVID and getting stock out is a difficult process. Thanks and stay safe!
skirby84Showing 'pre-shipment info sent' on 6 June and 'departed shipping partner facility' on 9 June for my order.
UPDATE: Estimated delivery is 22 June.
skirby84Purchased one on May 1st.
The estimated shipping date was June 3rd, but the status is showing "Order placed with the vendor".
Wish that they ship out the previous orders before they have another run.
ketchupsweatYou must supply your own power adapter, like the one for a cell phone. Supplied cable plugs into that. Or, if using with a computer, the ‘puter’s USB port supplies the power, so no adapter needed.
