In the appropriately named tia Trió IEM, luxury brand 64 Audio is taking 3D sound to new levels. The tia Trió’s creators say that it hits the “sweet spot between reference-level clarity and a smooth sound signature for extended listening,”—a sentiment that’s echoed by excellent ratings from other reviewers Read More
I had U12t, U8, U12. So I know musical qualité of 64 Audio. I think 64 Audio are overpriced like 3600 USD for Forté Noir. And at the end the 64 Audio IEMs are fatiguing and boring.
Depends on what you’re looking for - Nio doesn’t match the U12t’s layering or detail retrieval. The U12t also has a really nice dip from 3-5kHz that begets an unprecedented sense of depth that the Nio lacks. But if you like more sub-bass, dynamic slam, and a thicker midrange, the Nio might be more apt. Their treble responses are different too. Nio’s is more linear while the the U12t dips in the mid treble and peaks at around ~15kHz for air which is quite unique.
Mest has really nice mids, nice dynamics. sometimes you want a little more bite but it depends on the song. I really like mest. Just make sure you get a deep fit.
Just bought and got the UM Mest, and I've been comparing the dt 880 600 ohm version against them, I must say I gotta give the win to the UM Mest for soundstage and clean bass, treble is the only place the dt 880 600 ohm may be on par, though if i could get dekoni bulletz to see if i could get a better fit, my answer might change
I missed the opportunity to purchase Moderna stocks at $19 this year. Otherwise I would jump on this deal just to show people how much money I've made effortlessly.
64 Audio makes some of the best, most technically brilliant iems around. They are also grossly overpriced. You can get 90% of the sound for a third the price these days. Actually, you can even find iems that exceed the 64’s for half the price. Welcome to competition, 64.
Everyone has different ears - his tastes seem to gravitate toward dryer, more sterile reproduction of music. That is not to discount his opinions - going in with a knowledge of what type of sound a reviewer prefers, can be beneficial when making decisions on what the reader may enjoy. If he thinks an IEM sounds thin, I would likely think it sounded like nails on a chalkboard.
I couldn’t disagree more. The worst value for money are JH Audio iems. They were the reason I began exploring chifi. Look at their pricing. Only marginally better than the 64s, and arguably for way worse sound quality. I’m not going to go over all the things wrong with that company. Their idea of innovation is to foist new connectors on unsuspecting consumers and charging an arm and leg for new cables. Like 8 people who are professional musicians asked for that and suddenly that’s their “innovation”. Ridiculous. Their pro series have not been relevant for years. They were fine for what they were when they first came out, but they’ve long been surpassed in almost every way by competitors. Co-branding with A&K was an act of desperation for them to try and leverage off the halo effect of a superior name instead of truly innovating on their own.
I don't put used stuff in my ears, who knows where it's been! lol... jokes aside 64 audio make great iems. If you got the money get them and watch how fast you disappear off the forums and into the music.
